I have sympathy for some who have chosen to list on WP. We only see the serious Poppers and Koolaid drinkers on the WP forum. There are some who aren't into message boards who probably have no clue what they bought into. They came there because they need the money that Ebay no longer can give them. Fortunately for them, most will be smart enough to get out before Ray eats into their funds too badly.

These are the people I feel sorry for, too. My mom, for example, does not even understand what a message board IS, much less post to them. She would have no way to know WP was bad news before risking cash--aside from what she's learned about internet safety.

She would have no way of knowing WP existed if she didn't read message boards.  Almost all the sellers who joined  probably learned of the site from reading one of the hundreds of message board posts on eBay.

True. But they don't do message boards on a regular basis.

I know of at least one WP seller (friend of a friend) who heard of Popper Hell when she came to the SB looking for answers when her otherwise good sales dropped off drastically. She decided to try branching out and, very unfortunately, picked WP without researching it. She is one who won't be foolish enough to stay long but I seriously doubt if she "does" the WP forums since she never really spent time on the SB. Therefore, it will be the lack of sales that drive her away. Not the nuttiness on the boards which she may never know about at all.

Good point. Since WP only uses spamming to advertise... only those familiar with message boards are likely prey.

Quote:hundreds of message board posts on eBay.

You left out Craigslist which has been very heavily spammed by WP/WP members.  Do a search for wagglepop on Google and half of the search results are WP spams on Craigslist.

Is it just me or is this sickening?

Popper:
Quote:Is anyone here just slightly worried that you might not make the cut?

Then RaKaren gives the contenders /pretenders speech
and the Popper comes back with this:

Quote:Thanks for the clarification, Karen. The original message was so vague that there was discussion elsewhere that perhaps there would be some sort of loyalty test beyond the payment of the bill. Thanks, again!
