Quote:I just saw 3 sellers here who all have alot of feedback, but when you dig into their feedback 80% it is from each other. Just more of the fraudulent charade. No, not wise, just kinda obvious to me. The average person is going to be taken for a ride -- in a proven losing situation -- just to a *point*, and then they'll be gone.
It's actually going to be rather entertaining watching how quickly all the passengers who are along for the ride will bail out once they realize the ship is actually sinking. ![]() What, pray tell, is Black Friday? |

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the entire year.

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Here's the latest....(I didn't see this one posted yet, I hope I didn't do a repost on it) And if I haven't...then read on....
Hello Members, Just a reminder that beginning today and over the next few days we will be completing our review of all active Wagglepop accounts. Welcome to the first step in building a better and stronger Wagglepop. Seller accounts which have gone into delinquency status (especially those sellers with no inventory that appear abandoned) and sellers who are unresponsive to direct emails from staff regarding their accounts are in the process of account termination. The accounts that have already been terminated during this process to this point have been referred for collection. The vast majority of closed accounts had no current inventory, and the ones that did typically had just one or two items. Total active items sitewide receded less than 400 in total, reflecting the "non-participatory" nature of the accounts as a whole. Remarkably, some had sold items but couldn't be bothered to check! That we most certainly cannot tolerate. A final email notification will be sent in the next 24-48 hours for sellers for whom we have a solid payment record, but whose accounts are currently overdue, primarily by just a few days. For those who do not respond appropriately to those emails and bring their accounts current will also be suspended and/or terminated as appropriate. At the end of this period, we will have an appropriately sized seller body that is much more reflective of our active and dedicated members, and one that is ready, willing, and able to perform to the performance standards we require for participation on Wagglepop. What we have planned next is only for those that are serious about their time here on Wagglepop building their business, and as we've said before, for those for whom trust is too heavy a burden, their time is up ![]() Karen - WP Customer Care |

The early replies to Karen's collection agency announcement:
Quote:Thanks for keeping us informed, Karen Quote:Karen, Quote:Thanks for the update Karen! This is an interesting approach and I think it's a great idea! I can't wait to see what's in store. Quote:It all sounds good to me ....cant wait to see the new suprizes !! |

And here are some more comments from the cheerleaders...(I don't know how to put these in the purple block, sorry)
Thanks for the update Karen! This is an interesting approach and I think it's a great idea! I can't wait to see what's in store. and... Another step forward in the right direction for Wagglepop. Yea for we serious sellers!! and.. It all sounds good to me ....cant wait to see the new suprizes !! and... I am all for getting rid of empty stores. There are several featured stores that fall into this category. It is not good for buyers to see them featured and perhaps click on their store to find one or 2 items. I can't imagine a seller paying the higher fee for an almost empty store. and... The first person I ever bought from never gave me feedback and still has the same 2 items for sale since last July and never has put anything new in. |

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I'm still bedazzled by how long it has taken some of these "followers" of Pope Ray to get the drift that business is NOT what WP is about. I opened my store July 19, and pretty much "got it" by the end of July, after my first one or two posts requesting more explicit information on WP's business strategy were met with defensive retorts, an over-zealous spray of pompoms, and serious business questions left unanswered. My character was in question simply for asking questions that directly related to my business. It seemed obvious then and there, that the business strategy was simple: drug the faithful with cyberhugs, smiley faces, and hypnotic dancing bunnies; maintain their kumbayatic stuper with empty promises of untold riches when Pope Ray and High Priestess Karen see fit to unfold their "master plan (which I doubt there ever was)"; hope Ray/Karen's ship of fools stays afloat long enough to rake in a tidy sum from the "loyal" followers before they wipe the Kumbaya from their eyes and realize the rats are abandoning ship; defuse any rumblings of mutiny by whatever means possible until the next eBay fee hike brings a boatload of new converts to replenish the coffers.
It was obvious from the get-go, that this "non-eBay-think" business plan of the "single-fee store system" (or whatever they call it) is geared toward one thing: a steady, guaranteed monthly income for Ray/Karen - period. They couldn't give a rat's ass about buyers -- they don't even want them. What other e-commerce venue requires full registration and membership status (providing personal information) simply to VIEW posts in the forum? What other e-commerce venue necessarily suspends buying privileges if the member decides to close his/her store ? What other e-commerce venue has such a conspicuous absence of buyers' posts and pulls any that may be critical of sellers or WP admin? What other e-commerce venue teminates a member's buying privilege for a deliquent store account? What other e-commerce venue blocks ISP's, preventing re-registering, even as a buyer in good standing, simply because that member posted comments deemed provocative by the venue's board censors? What other e-commerce venue encourages store owners to buy from each other simply to pump up their feedback? What other e-commerce venue requires members to contact CC for permission should they want to VOLUNTARILY close their stores? What other venue requires PAYMENT UP FRONT before members can open a store? What other e-commerce venue makes the store-closing procedure next to impossible to find? What other e-commerce venue pulls members' forum posts simply for ASKING how to close a store? |
