Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
From PS's post on Pheebay:
Quote:They (WP) are looking for the true business people Oh, and I suppose none of the 1000 or so miscreants, trolls, naysayers, paid eBay informants, deadbeats and jealous types who were excommunicated or got fed up with WP and split your Poopstand are "true business people." From PS's post on Pheebay: Quote:that's smart thinking if they go that route.Referring to Sears and Macy's selling on WP. Now, can someone tell me why ANYBODY would go to WP to buy a Craftsman saw from USER or PS dropshipped from Sears' distribution center instead of purchasing off of Sears' own site? How is this "smart thinking?" As a buyer, I NEVER purchase from dropshippers because they are a third party in the loop. IF an item is backordered or I have a problem with my order I can go directly to the source to have the issue resolved. I also would never want to be a dropshipper because should a buyer have a problem (e.g. non-receipt of item, shipping delays due to backorders, misdelivery, or any other issue over which I basically have no control), I'd be the one blamed. I wonder if Ray and his cronies are planning to do away with the feedback system so disgruntled buyers have no recourse when their dropshipping orders gets screwed up. |

Quote:This is the first I've heard about stores like Sears and Macys, but that's smart thinking if they go that route. Anyone who thinks Sears or Macy's would even think of opening a store on Wagglepoop is a complete idiot. I also have to question why she thinks it would be "smart thinking" on Wagglepop's part to lure a seller like Sears who has an abysmal customer service track record as attested to by their horrendous 96.3% (1,533 negatives) and 96.2% (860 negatives) feedback percentages on their 2 eBay IDs. |

Actually, Sears customer service has been piss poor in recent years. I haven't bought anything there in ages because of it.Â
Maybe they WOULD be a good fit to WP!!! |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I thought this little tidbit from PS on the Pheebay thread was classic.
PS, on the recent "We the People" vote. Quote:But it's nice that they're involving sellers so much in stuff like this instead of just imposing a fee increase out of the blue or something like that. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:But it's nice that they're involving sellers so much in stuff like this Ray has shown during WP 1 and WP 2 that he is a master of making sellers think they have a say in decision making but the reality is the Poppers have even less say in decision making than the participants in eBay's Voices of the Community program do --i.e. they have none. When Ray floats an idea on the boards for seller input it's just a show --his mind is already made up. He decided on the rate hike before he posted those "We the People" polls. |

More words of wisdom from P.S. on the same Pheebay thread:
Quote:What if the effect of a Marketplace Fee might be that the 'perceived value' of the site increases? Now, where do you suppose she got the concept of "perceived value"? By sleeping with the fuzzy slipper guy, perhaps? As I recall, he was all about "perceived value." |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
From Pheebay:
Quote:also dropping the FVF fees may allow them to place the items better in google shopping search engine... both ecrater and blujay does this good cause they don't have fvf fees... What do FVF have to do with shopping engines? And they call us flunkies of fiction? And Macy's, Sears? I heard Victoria's Secret and Barnes and Nobles entered into a joint agreement to co-promote from the same store to save the extra store fee... beat that!
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"
- Ray Romeo's alter ego Andrew Pittino responding when I signed up a new account on Wagglepop to verify the non-existence of a way to opt out of his sharing my information with third parties. |
