RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Ummm, I don't think WP's on RScript. Someone else questioned the software. I swore it was the original RainWorx he pulled out of the box, but, others insist it's PHPpro Bid - which would explain the useless bulk lister. RScript, on the other hand, has a practically flawless BL, I've used it at a couple of sites. PHPpro's PaxBulk lister is tempermental at best, and normally just a flippin' nightmare. It won't even import its own export.

If anyone deals w/ ...oh, man  don't Violent5 me down for saying this...if anyone deals w/ ewaey you may have noticed he has a post titled over at PSU about the "new" look of the site...just can't type it again, sounds like a disease...I took a look, it's now a WP clone. In more ways than one - this is another looser that promised he was shutting down permenantly and keeps coming back like a greasy chili dog.

Anyway, I honestly don't think that's RScript. Someone else's info is that it's PHPpro. It looks like the original out of the box RainWorx, but I can't imagine Alex buying new software, and now WP and EWWWW look about the same.

ROTFLMBO @ Sweet Girl 70!! BTW, speaking of t-shirts, I got one from RummageMonkey this week. Not launched yet. Cute T though  Icon_biggrin

Surprise on WP? Prolly gonna' switch to lime kool-aide.

Chiquita,
If I were a cat, I would consider your comment rather insulting to myself and my feline brethren. I'd put Ray somewhere on Darwin's evolutionary scale between navel lint and toe jam, but without the moral standards of either. Occasion18

Quote:I don't think WP's on RScript.

It's definitely RScript...it's even hosted at the same host and most importantly Rob from RScript installed it on January 16th.

Definitely not phpProBid or Rainworx (rainworx only runs on Windows servers.  WP iis using Unix servers this year)

The bulklister Ray is using is a 3rd party bulklister made only for rscript sites (price about $500) A A few other rscript sites also use the same bulklister.

Quote:just exactly what features of the Rscript program is Ray witholding? I can't help but think his definition of "surprises in store" are these unused features?

1. eBay feedback importing (already tested on his admin and his brother's accounts)
2.  the ability to show the seller's eBay listings after their WP listings (this feature is tied into the eBay affiliate program and the site owner makes $$)
3. Wanted Ads format listings
4. export listings to BidFind (similar to the Froogle feed WP turned on earlier)
5. banner exchange system
6. featured auctions, spotlight auctions
7. search by zip code
8.  Barter/Exchange format listings
9. item condition
10. hot listings

He could also introduce different subscription/membership levels beyond the 3 he has now.  For example: no-store listing subscriptions, a discounted membership if the user pays for an entire year at once, etc.

Quote:Does anyone know if the Rscript program offers the ability to show unsold/closed items?
Not a feature

I love kitty cats, they are very smart.

Toe jam  Toothy9 good one

Rho: Thanks for the clarification. I am not familiar with PHPpro, and am not sure where I read it was Rscript that WP was using.

Ewaey is using RScript too.  Earlier in the week before he added the new template the site looked exactly like the RScript demo (and actually said RScript on several pages) ;D

Sounds like HiBidder is using the same script, except it chose to implement all the features, whereas Ray/Karen chose to withhold and unveil them like a grand reward to their valued "loyal" sellers. What a bunch of phoney-baloney, bunny bullet BS.

rwAuction Pro v4.5 Updated verson 7/31/06

The latest version of rwAuction Pro not only adds new features but also dramatically improves existing functionality and design. The new My Account system and Admin Control Panel alone make this one worth upgrading to.

PayPal Checkout
PayPal payments are now sent through the website to Sellers for single listings or entire invoices.

When viewing an item listing you can now login to view additional information or functionality as the site administrator, a buyer/bidder, or as a seller.

Store Improvements
The store directory has been updated to browse by listing categories, making it easier to search for and find stores. The store creation page has also been updated in the My Account section.

If this is the system used then the new surprises for the WP sellers would be. Gee I'm not impressed. Whip2
