Nope.  I don't personally know any non-sellers on the site.  As for particular items, they do not sit there unbought for all eternity unless they are priced too high or should be listed with a better title, description, picture, etc.

My only concern is the 29.99 fee. Like everyone else, it's getting harder to pay it, especially when you have little or no sales......My husband has been after me to stop selling here but I won't do it lol. I do have a part time job now so that helps. I see what he's telling me though because I sell a few things a month and the total doesnt even come to half the price of the store

It does seem that most folks don't want to pay a large monthly fee without knowing what sales will be. I do like the monthly charge idea, though - takes less brain work! But, it is hard to pay it when sales don't occur.

The upfront costs are difficult, particularly in this economy. I would much rather have my fees tied to my success. The fee structure that was in place when I first joined was fair. $10 out of pocket per month if I failed to sell anything, and a reasonable percentage if I had success

We need some open honest input from membership. As we consider the future direction of Wagglepop in 2009 and beyond the following questions and answers would provide some extremely valuable insight.

>How much do you spend (in dollars) in online purchases per month on eBay?

>What is the number one most important factor when selecting a retail site and product to purchase?

edit: I see the problem.  The majority of those 950 books are available from Amazon sellers for 1 cent.

I see the problem too but if I stated the problem I'd offend a large percentage of eBay alternative site boardies (and eBay sellers like Raytard) who really do believe that eBay is 100% to blame for their declining sales and (as it says on AtomicMall's Squidoo page...the "eBay killer" that's hosted on a $7 shared server) the only skills an online seller needs are the ability to take a picture and write a description".  Since the last thing I'd want to do is offend anybody, I'll remain silent.

WP Members,

Just got back from "the" meeting (as well as a very nice lunch) with ownership - reviewing 2008 and finalizing plans for 2009.

Expect big announcements and changes beginning over the next two weeks and then all through 2009.

With the past two-plus years as our guide (and the invaluable lessons learned from that) we are all refocused on doing everything necessary to help make Wagglepop everything it can be and should be for online shoppers and merchants.

If you buy or sell online Wagglepop is going to be the "place to be" in 2009 - and we'll be making it easier than ever to do both here at Wagglepop.

AP tells RR: "I closed 2 more stores for nonpayment of their monthly fees. We're down to 58 suckers..er..stores.  We don't have enough cash to buy the gerbils the deluxe habitrail they asked Santa for this Christmas."

RR yells to his reflection in the mirror KaRay  : "ha ha ha ha ha! OMG you are not going to believe THIS! The dirty rat bas*ard deadbeats aren't PAYING their Wagglepop store  fees again!"

AP tells RR: "the sellers are asking for a decrease in the monthly fee"

RR screeches: "Holy cripes , these deadbeat mo****r f****ers got some BIG BIG balls. Jesus. What's next? They gonna come to my house and shoot my cat? So, basically, Im begging STILL for money, just so I can make MORE. These rotten miserable no good leeches have the nerve to ask for lower fees. .... ScrewUSellers... Ugh"

Jesus H. -- How CLUELESS can one multiple personality be? What was Kay/Ray/And thinking by starting WP and having no inkling whatsoever of the needs of buyers and sellers? And still having NO CLUE 2-1/2 years later? I wouldn't surprise me if King Boink has a full-color training manual to teach him how to wipe his own behind. This shows Ray's true colors. His only interest was in fattening his wallet, otherwise he would have taken one second out of his ego-driven day to analyze the needs of buyers and sellers BEFORE starting WP.

Like always, we reveal nothing of our 'plans'. That's because the plan hasn't changed. In 2009 (as in 2007 and 2008), we'll be B.S.ing you with empty, rhetorical carrots all the way to the bank. The online auction industry is probably the only place where a business can gross below the Federal poverty line (as Ray's magazine cut-outs business did when he barely qualified for Bronze PS) and the business's owner will be regarded as a successful businessperson by his peers.  Ray didn't understand the needs of the average online buyer when he was a seller, and the buyer unfriendly eBay clone format he chose for WP is proof he didn't understand the needs of the majority of online buyers in 2006 when he reopened WP.  His continued fixation on eBay circa 2003, and compete cluelessness about the fixed price world beyond eBay where 80% of online buyers make their purchases,  2 1/2 years into WP2 indicates he probably never will understand the needs of the average online buyer.

1. Lack of a business plan, or a plan that consists of open store, list, list, list
2. failure to adapt to market changes
3. merchandise that is unlikely to sell because the category is glutted or the merchandise is garbage
4. a sheeplike mentality which allows them to be duped by fucktards like George Tannous. Troy MacDonald, and Ray Romeo
