RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
From the boards.

Quote: made a typo when typing 'wagglepop' into my browser. I put 'wagglepoop' by mistake. I was really surprised to see a picture of sh*t come up, along with 'www.wagglepoop.com' coming soon.

I hope someone's not building that to cut up wagglepop. Has anyone heard anything about this?
Response from another member:
Quote: Or is a potential spoof site? I can see some poeple getting an email from there and a link to a wagglepop look a like login page.

Staff may want to know about it since a best its a domain infringement. You may want to clear your cookies and history so you don't try logining in there if you type in the web address.

This will get better!

I have no idea!...Just did the old copy and paste...follow the link. See if you can determine the origin.
No more members are responding the thread.
I'll keep you updated on that thread...I'll be disappointed if it doesn't get any more responses..

OTWA Ray post
Quote:"Steel Cage Match - Wagglepop vs. OTWA!"

Featured bout : Ray vs. Toy Ranch

Is there room left for a bit of levity, and a truce?

Perhaps it's time, for me, to extend the olive branch, and let decency and common sense prevail.

I was likely wrong to defend myself so vehemently, just as it was likely wrong to be attacked on a somewhat personal level.

You think you're right.
I think I'm right.

It's only natural, isn't it?

I think perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

It's called "getting off on the wrong foot", and I think we may all me guilty of it, myself included.

I think Wagglepop may be a real solution for many, and I'd like to extend an offer for you to check out what we've done so far, with a cooler head, and an apology on my part.

Not so much for defending myself, which I hope you'll agree was fair, but perhaps the manner in which I did it.

Maybe I'm just tired from all the work, there sure is quite a bit of it.

I certainly didn't mean to group everyone into a group of 'the meanies over at otwa'......my comments reflect an escalation of my frustration at the perception I left myself open to by not thinking before posting.

For those of you that do want to forget a handful of postings on a discussion forum, and and let the past be just that, I'm sure you'll find me to be accessible, open-minded, and fair.

In my business life, I've found some of the strongest alliances and friendships I've made were the ones that started off wrong in some way.

I hope that holds true here as well.

Our time is valuable. Please accept a sincere apology from me for causing you to take any of it up on my careless behavior.

I assure you it is out of character for me.

The response
Quote:Ray~

You denigrate every suggestion or comment that doesn't fit with your concept of the way you want things to be... you start THIS post with an announcement of a boxing/wrestling match.

Good luck to you. Talk to you in a year, OK?

Ray's reply
Quote:Is my apology not good here?

I'm trying to restore order to a situation that needs no more unrest, based on nothing more than personality conflicts.

Surely, a simple apology can fix that.

I'm respectfully asking that the negativities subside, and we all get back to productive, on-target discussions......

What purpose could further escalations serve?

We just butted heads, that's all. But let's finish with that and perhaps we'll be able to open some real dialogues.....or, just ignore each other at worst.

OK?

Ray

Okay I can't help myself here is a great response on OTWA  to Ray's apology Laughing7

Quote:Ray-

You are focusing on the negative in this thread.

Even though the negative has been presented in a way that you are uncomfortable with, you (as CEO) will have to learn to deal with it in a professional manner.

It is hard for a mother to see faults in her child and yet the child will have faults that will need to be addressed and or corrected.

Your company structure is not perfect and the best way to fix these imperfections is to listen and learn.

If you cannot take the constructive (and not so constructive) criticism that will come with being the CEO of an auction site then you might as well save the money you plan to invest and take anger management courses instead.

We are all human - we all want to protect what is ours - but it can be done with class and decorum.

I wish that Daemon was still lurking around these parts so he could show you how it is done.

That man took a beating at every turn for PayPal and yet his posts were always professional and courteous. I am sure he gave the monitor screen the finger more times than not but his posts were professional.

Deleting your words/posts over on your own board only makes things worse. It shows dishonesty and cowardice. (not well done)

If you say something you should own it even if it makes you turn a million shades of red every time you look at it. I totally respect a person who can say YUP I screwed up and I am sorry. I promise to try to fix this and will not repeat it.

I have said a ton of things I wish I hadn't but I chalk it up to being human and I LEARN from the mistake.

Coming here - saying you are sorry - then expecting everything and everyone to be happy with it is unrealistic on your part. You keep thinking you are talking to one person when in reality you are talking to thousands.

OTWA is a very giving (not to mention large) community and I would be leery of burning a bridge that big - you never know when you will need to travel this road again.

Ohh and a bit of personal advice. Never get into a pissing match unless you have a full bladder and good aim.

Chiquita, that sounds like Bobby/TR also. Tongue3

Btw, according to Regic:

Quote:No archives of the FAS forum exist. The old FAS forum and database were deleted after the site changed its name to EcommerceArena and switched to vBulletin software.

The only person who might have a copy of the FAS database is the former owner Matt.

The Wayback Machine is also unlikely to have anything. Sorry guys. Sad
