RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I have bought something and "sold" something.  Lots of carp not working or not working well.  Lots of confusion also.  I'm working with someone that is MUCH more patient then myself and she is in agreement.

As far as the message boards, I get the impression that comments and/or suggestions aren't going over well.  WP tends to "explain," rather than be open minded for change.

PS
WP mimicks eBay a LOT.  Therefore, mannnnnnny people have "eBay expectations" as far as how things should work.

Quote: We are in a position of tuning and adjustment, and like the thousands
of other users we have, we'd love for you to be on board with
us....and patient through the rough times.

WP has "thousands" of users?? where? Or is he confusion this "thousands" of users with the number of spam emails he sent a few days back?

I especially like the part where blowed says

Quote: I have read the board rules. Exactly what is in violation? I really
don't see anything in the post that is in violation, except that I am
listing all the errors I received in 20 minutes of TRYING to browse.
Complaining is in violation?

And then Ray posted this right after:

Quote: User 'blowed away' terminated from board membership due to violation
of Board Rules & Code of Conduct, and failure to comply with direct
request from Wagglepop.

Interesting Ray didn't answer Blowed's question on what the violation was but instead he just terminated the membership without explaining.  How's that for professionalism and social skills? How are others supposed to know what not to say that Ray considering violations without explaining them when asked?  Oh I get it, his "thousands" of users also all of ESP?

Have you both been referring to WP1 or WP2?
[/quote]

Oh crumbs, I missed that one little part in BBH's post saying WP1.  Oops, how embarrassing!!!!!  :-[

I haven't registered on WP1 or WP2 to know what's going on over there now so I was reading from this thread and missed the 3 little characters WP1.  :-[

Ray the courteous poster (pre WPI) Wrote:What's next? They gonna come to my house and shoot my cat?

News Flash::: RAY HAS A CAT!

"Now Kitty, I dont want to hear any meowing from you. You eat dry food and you like it."

"Meow!"

"User 'Wagglecat' terminated from litterbox membership due to violation
of Box Rules & Code of Poopduct, and failure to comply with direct
request from Wagglepoop.

Unfortunate, but necessary."

You know, I am enjoying this.

Ironchick Wrote:So why doesn't Ray have a bulk lister?
That was promised for "soon" last time and never happened. I suspect it is a lot of work and he has not gotten to it.

Any promises, or reasons he gave regarding plans to add features (or reasons why WP didn't have certain features) last time and this time are BS.  The real reason he didn't have certain features last time or this time is because they were not standard features of the cheap software he was/is using. Any new features that are added will most likely be because RScript added them to the standard version of the script, not because Wagglepop came up with a brilliant idea or listened to its members.

He didn't have a bulk lister last time because the bulk lister in the $500 Rainworx version 3 script he used had bugs that made it unusable.  If he had stuck around a few months, version 4 which was released a few months after WP1's close fixed the bulk lister problem.

He doesn't have a bulk lister now because the "boost lister" included with the new $518 RScript program is buggy and very limited.  Other sites using the program have fixed the bugs and use the bulk lister.  He doesn't have the programming skills to do that.  There are two 3rd party bulk listers he could buy for $400-$700.

He didn't have a blocked bidder list last time because it wasn't a Rainworx version 3 feature.  He doesn't have RSS feeds or a completed items search this time because they're not current RScript features, and the list goes on...the current features WP has are the same ones the other 100 sites using the script have.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011

I've used Yahoo's and Amazon Auction's bulk listers and they both work fine.
