Quote:A post left on a thread by Ray called WP listing and Sales Management Tools Discussion

Also regarding feedback; ditch the stores icon beside the names of seller/customers who have posted feedback. This has come up as a bone of contention in a number of posts - that customers are other sellers. This icon, posted along with the feedback scores, is a detriment. As many here have attested to I was also a buyer simultaneously being a store owner/seller over thErE but this was not obvious to anyone checking feedback I had left for another.

Access to completed auctions very important for the reasons given by others. Research of the market is vital and I hate having to drop in at eBay or Elsewhere to verify my listing prices.

According to Bbh the ability to check completed auctions is not a function of the Rscript program. I wouldn't be surprised if Ray does remove the store icon, because he wants to give the impression that there are unique buyers who are not sellers.

LISTINGS DROP BY 10,000
WP Poster with 3 stores:

"Good Evening Everyone,

Am I seeing things or did listings on Wagglepop drop by 10,000?
If it has for some reason, we all need to keep listing and get the total back over 160,000!

In for The Long Haul! "

Karen's wagglebabble, speaking in tongues reply:

"You're just observing a little User Agreement enforcement Wink

We must have a seller body that buyers can count on, and that we as a company can count on.

What we've got planned in the coming months is only for members in good standing, and we are rapidly accelerating some of the internal site administration dynamics so that we know exactly who that describes Smile
Karen - WP Customer Care"

TRANSLATION: We screwed up invoicing, came down on a few sellers whose posts were not as warm and fuzzy as we thought they should be, etc., so they told us to shove it and split.

Or
translation: inflated numbers got popped somehow.

Or

translation: One of Ray's family members went on vacation and pulled their items for the time being.

This is from a thread started to guess where the name Wagglepop came from:

Quote:Karen, are you allowed to give us any insight/history? Either way, would you be kind enough to respond yea or nay? Can or can't you tell us?

Could we make it a contest, trying to guess where the inspiration came from?

My guess: the name of a dog owned by R.R. Obvious as heck I suppose. Does anyone else have a suggestion of where this inspiration came from?

Dare, double dare you to guess!! Smile

The response

Quote:There's only one person here who knows the origin of the Wagglepop name and brand, and I'm sure there will come a day where the story about that will be told.

Until then, I'll be guessing right along with you Wink

I guess Ray has been posing as Karen for so long that he now believes he is Karen.  :blinkie:

The answer to that question used to be on the FAS forum until the FAS owner deleted the database--which I'm sure was completely unrelated to the fact that Ray had apparently already decided last year to re-open WP Smile

Although, if you go back towards the beginning of this thread you'll see that several of us were convinced it was the FAS membership list rather than the WP1 membership list that Ray used when he emailed the re-opening announcement in May.  So is it a concidence or isn't it that 1000's of WP1 threads and 10's of thousands of posts were deleted.?  Icon_scratch

I just looked at the email address that the WP announcement was sent to--it was sent to an email address that we never gave Ray.  The email address he sent the announcement to was the email for our second seldom used FAS ID which we never gave him or PM'd him with--which leads to one of two conclusions: 1. he copied the email addresses of everyone from the memberlist when he was moderator or 2. "someone" with access to the memberlist's email addresses gave Ray the list of emails afterwards. Our 2 FAS IDs used different domain names so there is no way Ray could have guessed the email address he sent the announcement to this month.

That is exactly why I was so riled up when I received his spam - I never registered with WP last year and I also didn't contact him with my address for his pre-registration interest yet I got spammed a few days back to an address I registered with FAS?  Makes me very suspicious.  Sure I used that email address in only two other places but I never received spam from them and they were not published on the net so I narrowed it down to FAS.

I have since Ray's spam closed up that email account so he can spam away to it because it falls on deaf ears now but I shouldn't have to close up an email account just because someone is getting or taking email addresses in ways they shouldn't so that they can spam people.

WP Cheeleader:

"If you are an agnostic, now would be the time that you click the 'back' button...

For those who would 'throw in the towel'...I've been a member of Wagglepop for 3 months with no sales, but this week I've had a great week.

I've been in online sales for almost 7 years now (as a sideline & selling for others), and can't help but think someone upstairs 'dropped this in my lap.' A year ago, I quit my corporate job without another lined up - no notice, no nothing."

Reply to the cheerleader:

My store has had two sales since July ... but I'll stick it out because I can pay my bills and not answer to anyone. I am now in the process of upgrading to a little better quality of music because I know the sales are coming ... not a doubt in my mind. You need to read "Conversations With God" ... but it seems you've already had them"

HOW DO THESE PEOPLE PAY THE RENT? I asked this once on a post when I was at WP, but my post was censored. These are not serious business people, but rather a cultist support group for people who need a life. Hey, Poopers, quit your stores, stop feeding KaRay with your store fees, and go to church every day. It would be cheaper, less labor/time intensive and you'd get the same strokes.

Unless she sold 2 cars, she is probably referring to paying her monthly Wagglepop fees rather than to her living expenses.

Quote: Freaky! Just saw Es newest ~ eBay pop ~ No kidding!

Not sure if it is a coincidence or what???

http://www.mpire.com/research/ebayPop.ivk

They say that imitation is the biggest form of flattery.....

Um, I'm sure that eBay was thinking of Wagglepop when it named its newest feature...NOT.  If imitation is the biggest form of flattery then what does that say about Ray Romeo's true feelings about eBay since he has attempted to imitate countless eBay features--Ray, are you secretly the world's biggest eBay cheerleader? Common010

In other WP news: the store count is down to 706 and the Popper's valiant attempt to replace the 10,000 lost listings is fizzling--they have only managed to add 800 so far.
