Looks like Ray just found another way to increase his income  :blinkie:

Quote:Hello Members,

We are very excited to introduce a new addition to the Wagglepop "family" of seller tools called Wagglepop AdSmart.

AdSmart will allow sellers to target potential buyers by advertising when and where they shop buy using small text ads or other types of ads.

Most AdSmart ads are available on a CPC (Cost Per Click) basis, and Wagglepop AdSmart accounts can be opened for as little as $10.00, with most CPC text ads available for just ten cents per click!

For more information or to get started as an AdSmart advertiser, use the link available from the announcement at the top of the Community home page.

We hope that all sellers and buyers will benefit from this new way on Wagglepop to bring buyers and sellers together Smile

Puke

Yeah, it'll bring buyers and seller together alright... I mean... If there were buyers....

When will the poppers figure out that no one even knows they exist and these "intra" site ads are a whole lotta BS!!  People can't click your ad if you're invisible in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UGH... anyone got any wine?  I need a drink...................... Occasion14

Interesting - with all of the problems with CPC and click fraud that the big players have had, which resulted in them getting sued.

This really irked me.  WP keeps promising new and better things, but instead we get Adsmart. They could have focused on numerous other things including simple things like promotional materials for the site that would actually benefit the sellers.

Smileywelcome Kaboing

I am a night owl. Smile If you haven't already, take the time and read the entire thread, it might take awhile but it is full of information. Keep in mind that the launch of WP1 is turning out to be a complete repeat for this go-round. Ray is in it for himself and the money. He could care less about the sellers. As long as you pay and don't disagree with him you can stay.

Another post from WP1 OTWA threadSadthis is around the time Ray starts to totally lose it on the boards)

Ray,

Please close my account immediately. I don't want to be associated with WP.

BTW, you are the biggest violator of the board rules. You cannot apply rules to others and ignore them yourself, owner or not.

Thank you and good luck.

Ray says -

I'll boil the rules down:

Act like an adult, and you're welcome here forever.

Act like an idiot, and I'll ban your butt in 5 seconds flat.

Simple.

You are in violation of the Board Rules & Code of Conduct, so we are suspending your account.

And plus, I just don't like you, or your cheap shots.

Since I own the business, I'll do any damned thing I please.

If you can't handle that, then hit the bricks.

Looks TO ME like the stupid boink might have just bought himself a trademark infringement lawsuit by naming it AdSmart.  AdSmart (www.adsmart.net) is a company and an ad network that has been around since 1999.  Ray's limited knowledge of Internet companies and trademarks is showing once again.  WP is already infringing on an eBay trademark (http://community.tuliptools.com/index.ph...l#msg27893)

AdSmart is an IAB member with two offices in the UK and one in the US. Ray is a fool for not doing his homework.

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I came home from dinner last night and took a quick look at WP, and saw the AdSmart proclamation and nearly wet my pants in disgust. After a great dinner and a lovely glass of vintage Italian wine, I was not going to let this edict ruin my evening, but I'm ready to pick up from it today.

Apart from all the legal ramifications that may be associated with the use of the word AdSmart (it's almost as if Ray's TRYING to get his ass sued), this program has to be the ultimate insult to sellers in Poopland. Not only are they paying $10 every month per store ($50 for a "featured" store) for the divine privilege of calling themselves Poppers and having no sales, they are now offered the option of paying a minimum of $10 to open an AdSmart account to get their names in front of more invisible buyers. Haven't these people figured out yet that no matter how much they brag about themselves to each other, it's still the sound of one hand clapping?

The lengths at which Ray goes to separate Poopers from the income they don't make on this NON-BUSINESS VENUE and hand it over to Ray in exchange for "hope and faith" is truly shameless.

Sweet Girl: In answer to your question about the email contact, I don't know how the sysetm works. I always received messages from CC directly into my email at home. Any messages I received from other WP members was through the PM system on my account. CC also personally emailed a customer of mine (without my knowledge) and I went ballistic. I brought it to the board over there and my post was deleted. Another curious fact with the email forwarding system at WP is that all PMs are monitored for "compliance" with the TOS before being sent to the entended receiver. I'm not making this up. It's written right there in the fine print. This also infuriated me. Whatever I say to my customer and visa versa is nobody's frickin' business but ours unless we decide to go public with it.

Okay, this applies to post No.2477.

So far, Sneaky is  winning. Are you guys just going to sit there and let Sneaky win? Angel1 Smileykoolaid
