last 4 weeks sales numbers

Quote:Multiple Item Sales Unique Sales Total Sales
10/16 to 10/22  938  874  1812
10/23 to 10/29 724 1038 1762
10/30 to 11/05 576 946 1522
11/06 to 11/12 668 902 1570
11/13 to 11/19  472  904  1376

[/quote]

Adding this week's numbers to Amy's post from last week.

Quote:1376 sales, down slightly from 1570 one week prior, likely due to increased competition both online and offline during this holiday season.

I know that since mid-October our sales on our websites and on Amazon have been going up not down due to holiday shopping. You'd think that even the cheerleaders would realize that decreasing sales during the holidays aren't a good sign and definitely isn't normal.  You'd think they'd realize that if Wagglepop is losing sales due to "increased competition" that there's a problem somewhere.

Wave Hi Everyone,

Wow I have been reading the forum over a WP (under my new id) about the adsmart and quite a few are speaking up!  Hopefully more Poppers are seeing the light.  One thing about their argument of filling the shelves kills me, the shelves are now on the decline.  I wonder if they just don't realize that more and more stores are closing because of no advertising, so everytime that happens their inventory is removed.  I mean come on, if you advertise, people would storm in and open stores so fast (or would have) that inventory would not be a problem.  Imagine what the shelves will look like mid next year as the decline increases, Ray will be the only one left trying to fill those categories  Toothy9

"1376 sales, down slightly from 1570 one week prior...
we anticipate that trend will continue through the remainder of 2006 and into 2007."

Am I the only one who sees the humor in this? If the "trend" from one week to the next is for a 9% drop in sales that continues through the remainder of 2006 and into 2007, then the sales at Poopland should hit rock bottom in about 8 weeks. By February, according to WP's own predictions, the sales should be nil.

It's like he's playing with their heads.  Dink

The sad part is the poppers don't actually see that the trend will remain going down.  I think they miss that part entirely.  They just think it's so wonderful that WP keeps them updated that they miss reading the da*m thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will spell it out!!!

YOUR SALES ARE GOING DOWN AND THEY WILL REMAIN GOING DOWN!!!!!

Thank you. That is all.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled "programming".  (Sorry, coudn't resist)!!!  LOL

I wonder if anyone's discovered the "trend" and has pointed it out on the WP boards. Would the Poopers just dismiss it? Attack it? Or would Karen come in and spin it?

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
There have been several posts by Ray regarding complaints in which he basically states WP may not be for you, if it isn't working for you it is your fault. There is an ongoing debate whether Amway is a cult. I found an interesting analysis of Amway applying the theory of cognitive dissonance.

Quote:Cognitive dissonance is the term used to describe what happens to a person when he accepts multiple, conflicting information at the same time. Rather than have to deal with conflicting thoughts, a person almost "separates" himself from reality. He starts to deny anything is wrong and continues to tell people, "Everything is fine. Just wait until I get there. Then you'll see I was right." In reality, this leads to both a further detachment from reality and a further attachment to the group's values. And if a person were to question the conflicting information presented to him, he would probably be told, "Your question means you don't understand the material. Continue learning and then it will become clear." This "separation" occurs at about the same time that a person starts to lose his critical thinking.

Adding the two (cognitive dissonance and the loss of critical thinking) is a dangerous combination and what is commonly known as "brain-washing." For example, if a person was told by the group's leaders, "For you to be successful, you must believe that 2 + 2 = 5." From then on, the person will think, " Gee, I'm not successful yet, I guess I don't fully believe that 2 and 2 is 5." Rather than realizing he is denying the reality of the facts, a person tells himself to believe the "new reality" of the group. Before long, it will be he who is arguing to other people, that 2 and 2 really does equal 5. And if a person is in this belief system long enough, leaving the group may require "deprogramming" to get a person out of these beliefs and back into reality.

In the Amway business, distributors develop this trait after they stop thinking critically about the business and become conditioned to accept what the upline is teaching as being "the truth." When this teaching comes into conflict with the rest of the person's belief system, he is too conditioned not to think that the information could be wrong. He simply says, "I know it may be rough now, but I'll build this thing yet," or the upline tells him, "You may not understand it now, but it will become clear when you're successful." The distributor completely denies the reality of what is happening to his life and to himself.

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Come on now Alskling... you know exactly what would happen. Lol

Someone would comment that the trend was going down.

A "pooped" popper would comment... "hmmmmm... that's not good, maybe we need to do something about that."

10+ poppers that aren't so pooped from trying to keep up with the WP run around would come and draw first blood on the one pooped popper...

"Just wait til we fill the shelves"
"Just wait til WP starts advertising in the middle of NEXT year"
"It takes time to build a business"
"But Karen said that sell-thru doesn't matter"
"I'll put more ads on craigs list"
"You're just negative!!"
"You big meanie!! If I had a boyfriend, he'd pound you!!"
"You can't make everyone happy 100% of the time"
"My sales have been great... what are you guys talking about?"
"Whaddya mean flip flops don't sell in December? I sold 40 pairs just yesterday!"
"I'll give you a free bar of soap if you list more crap"
"Come on poppers, lets have  a list-fest and get those shelves filled"
"Maybe you're just not the kind of seller WP is looking for"
"You know nothing about selling online"
"You sell crap"
"Kumbaya" Tool

and last but not least...

"If you build it, they will come."

Did I miss anything?

Platzki, I think you have it covered. That is what would happen. If no one has posted anything about the downward trend when I get back from being my daughter's taxi driver, I may have to post about it. I don't mind getting attacked for a second day, especially if it will open some of the sellers eyes. But maybe that is just wishful thinking! :Smile
