RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I thought this WP post deserved an honorable mention:

Popper:
"Here is a GREAT idea that I am already working on...

Yahoo has a web hosting plan that includes $50 free Adwords, and $100 free Yahoo Search Marketing. This plan costs $9 a month for the first two months. Here is the good part: You do not have to use the search marketing and Adwords for the website you register... it can be any website!

Here is a basic plan I have come up with to take a shot at...

Setup this web hosting plan, and market specific keywords in my store with both Adwords and Search Marketing. There would be 1,000 visitors from Yahoo, and 500 Visitors from Adwords, just from a $18, 2 month web hosting subscription.

Now, this will benefit me, but will also benefit every seller on WP. Once a sale is made, and the buyer finds out it is just as easy to buy here as anywhere else (if not easier) just imagine the possibilities! They start buying here, their sister and coworker start buying here, they all start getting red carpet discounts and spread the word. Even if that potential buyer may decide not to buy from me, they could buy something totally different from another seller once they see how easy WP is to use! Either way, I am out $18 to bring 1,500 potential buyers to Wagglepop.

So, the question for each WP seller is: Is $18 worth getting 1,500 visitors to see your store, and to the Wagglepop site? Even if only one in 200 converted into sales, it would be a profit of about $15 from the web hosting plan.
"
(Note: notice the huge profit potential)
Karen:

"A wonderful post Smile

It's that kind of recognition of opportunity and real business sense that will take you far here on Wagglepop.

Always be moving and working, and activity and sales will naturally flow towards you Smile

Karen - WP Customer Care"

TRANSLATON OF KAREN'S POST: "Great! Any way you guys want to finance advertising and put in the time and effort without us spending a dime or lifting a finger, yet still helps Ray and I get rich is just dandy with us."

The longer I am there, the more I believe this.  Initially, I thought they would slowly introduce some advertising, but they haven't done a thing. Its incredible to me that they won't even invest $1000 for advertising. Heck, they could easily purchase 1,000 custom bumper stickers for WP sellers for about $350 which only takes a 3 to 5 days for production.

Kaboing:

See my post at the top of the last page. WAG-L-POOP has no intention of advertising outside of the site -- PERIOD. The fact that it has now been decreed that members are not even allowed to bring up the subject on the boards adds further credence.

Sweet Girl ~ I'm glad Thanksgiving will be non-violent, lol. It may have taken her a few days to see the light, but if you hadn't planted that initial seed of doubt in her mind, she may not have vigorously questioned from the start and may have wasted money, not just time.

Alskling ~ I think you are absolutely correct. You have called it point-by-point from the beginning, I really admire your posts and insights. The way the advertising issue has been danced around - and now forbidden - just tells me they have no plans, never did and probably never will. Although, my guess is without SOMEthing, more of the faithful are going to start questioning.

Should be interesting....

Sweet Girl, tell toadgirl she rocks, and to get herself over here and join. She will also be able to pick up valuable info on all kinds of great information.

Ray has one goal, keep the poppers dazed, confused, and in a deep hypnotic sleep, and think of ways to put more money in his pocket. He won't spend one dime on any aspect of WP unless it is another software script that generates cash in his pocket.

From the reading on OTWA towards the end of WP1 the poppers were crying foul so loudly on the boards that Ray flipped out and actually shut the board down. He told the others go ahead and start your own board.

The guy is a narcissistic, megalomaniac, drama queen, and obviously a drag queen hiding behind a female sock-puppet id. I feel sorry for any partner, pet, or child within 10 feet of this man. He is abusive, explosive, and unstable. He is the poster child of a paranoid control freak. I bet he was a bully as a child, and conned many children out of their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. :turkey1:

Ok I feel better now.

That WP board will be DOA now. I would think just the posting of the "new rules" would turn off alot of people. Ray gives new meaning to the word censorship. This from a potty mouth who posted tirades on ebay boards.

You forgot one thing. Questioning is problematic in Poopland. Questioning is "non-constuctive" and "disrespectful," thus grounds for excommunication. Questions which are challenging in any way will be deleted immediately. Frustrated Poopers will either have to question in silence or create an underground network of some sort to air their concerns. Cult mentality requires that the leaders maintain control at all times. Cults are not democracies.

Eventually all charismatic leaders lose it, in front of their followers, and out themselves. It is impossible to control all communication forever. The more of a challenge that occurs to their power, mistakes will be made. This man is not omnipotent, the fact he believes he is, will be the very thing that destroys him. It is just a matter of time.

Ray Romeo quotes:

Day 13 and counting.....Hello? Hello? Come-in ebay....anybody working? What the h*ll are you doing to fix the inability to bulk relist on ebay motors? wait, I know.....N O T H I N G. As usual. No system announcement. Scripted e-mail responses. Live chat conversations that should be bronzed and put into the Comedy Hall Of Fame. Great job, ebay....just keep counting that money, and I'll keep bending over for ya - soon, I think I'll start to like it. You lazy bums. Get off your ass*s today and FIX THE DAMNED PROBLEM!
---------
ha ha ha ha ha! OMG you are not going to believe THIS! The dirty rat bas*ards are RAISING the ebay motors insertion fees! $1.00 to 9.99 is now .35 instead of .30! Holy cripes , these mo****r f****ers got some BIG BIG balls. Jesus. What's next? They gonna come to my house and shoot my cat? So, basically, Im begging STILL for the honor of relisting, just so I can pay MORE. Other than this, I am speechless --- every day something goes wrong or costs more. Ah yes, ebay, the perfect American company: charge more, deliver less, and tell your customer to go screw themselves, with a smile of course! Couldn't be any more disgusted with this lousy company.
------
Two weeks today. But at least you rotten miserable no good leeches had the nerve to raise my fees 20%. Make sure you change the name too.... ScrewUBay.... Ugh.
--------
Over a week and counting, can't relist over 500 auctions which are now "trapped" in ebay motors.....You know, it is very apparent that ebay just does not care, at all, about us or the problem; which is probably the worst thing you can say about any company. The live chat and e-mail responses are would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn't so sad. All that work down the drain. Ads trapped in what my wife calls "ebay hell." Right now, concerning ebay, I feel like the world's biggest chump. I think they are sitting around reading these boards with a box of donuts and their feet up, laughing their a**es off. Really. Over 500 auctions that I cannot just relist. If this was my company, I'd fire every single person involved. But, it's all like howling at the moon, does nothing --- it's just a big joke on us, the hapless, helpless, ridiculously optimistic, deep pockets, take every sort of careless thoughtless problem sellers......Laugh it up ebay, and have a donut on me, you've got the time, because you sure as hell aren't working on the problem. Ray Romeo
----------
My first Brown Bag....interesting.

Apparently, we voice concerns as questions, and in response an eBay "pink" will log-in and repeat the question and thanks us for asking it.

And this helps me how exactly?

In some cases, it's almost the exact same canned answer I get from e-mail support.

C'mon "pinks".....we desrve better, you can do better...let's make eBay better!

Ray

In my experience it is always good to have lively, open debate, otherwise you just end up with a room full of people agreeing to agree, and that's never good.

Without change, there cannot be growth. Without growth, soon enough, a company won't even exist.

Ray today- Unless this lively debate occurs on my forums, posts will be deleted, and accounts terminated.  Thefinger

Somebody needs to post Ray's words on WP, on every board.  Whip2

Jessie:
When I found this board and discovered the page with those quotes as "Ray, the couteous poster,", "Ray the respectful poster," and "Ray, the anti-spam poster," I knew then and there my perceptions of WP were not off the charts and the hypocracy I was sensing was real and not imagined. People who lurk in the shadows and don't give their names or show their faces and sabotage any effort others might take to expose them generally have much to hide. Owners of legitimate businesses are proud of what they do, who they are, and want everybody to know about it. Not Ray. Not allowing Poppers to advertise the WP name and not investing in outside advertising (which is a very small investment on the net, as other poppers have discovered) has as much to do with Ray not wanting to be "discovered" for the cultist, meglomaniac, egotistical hypocrite that he is, as it has to do with putting money in his pocket and his pocket alone.
