btw... it does really upset me that the WP'ers that are still there are so gullible and are being taken advantage of. Isn't there anything we can do to get it thru to them?
Ka/Ray should be very ashamed. |

Hehe... how's that for cheering!! Poor Raybil... I wonder if he will be able to keep this from sinking faster than we think it will already. I had no idea about the first WP, but it sounds like (from what I've read on the OTWA boards), there were the dedicated faithful then. It didn't survive and I don't think it can survive now. I was absolutely shocked at the way Raybil lost it. Didn't just get mad, annoyed, irritated, disagree... he lost control. How much longer do you think he can keep it together. Like the old cliche.. a leopard can't change his spots!
btw... it does really upset me that the WP'ers that are still there are so gullible and are being taken advantage of. Like Alskling has noted, it IS appearing more and more cultish and some of those people would need a de-programming of a sorts. We could give them facts all day long and they'd still follow their trusty leader.

The vast majority of those in the masses need this kind of structure. That's why organized religion (no offense intended) works so well.
Thentavius this is very true. Our very society is built on the foundation of structure, with prescribed laws and predefined rules of civility. Governments and institutions rely on conformity. Look what happens to free thinking independent people who step outside the boundaries and speak with a unique voice. Organized religion is built upon a doctrine, with prescribed rules and consequences for those who don't conform. Public education teaches standardized curriculum, even with the vast amount of research that shows a continuum of learning styles. Our society has two opposing viewpoints, conformity and rugged individualism. We are taught very young to conform, and will literally change who we are to fit it, to belong. All the great leaders have one thing in common, they challenged the status quo, and challenged all of us to become "critical thinkers". It takes great courage and conviction to speak up against the group. This is not to say that all structure is bad, it does serve a purpose, without balance or boundaries chaos ensues. Blind allegiance to anything is the extreme. There may very well be poppers who will stay asleep, and continue to give up their personal power to Ray, let us all hope that they will be the minority, and not the majority. We could start a support group and call it Wagglepop Anonymous, the 12 step program for "independent entrepreneurs who simply had a momentary lapse in decision making, and who are now ready to strike out into the world and take it by storm. Now everyone repeat after me "Mistakes are great opportunities to learn" and for Fab " to err is human, to forgive is divine" :turkey4 |

Quote:I am beginning to think that those who stick around like defined structure and firm rules and they can't function without them. The vast majority of those in the masses need this kind of structure. That's why organized religion (no offense intended) works so well.
Exactly! As you may have guessed by now, I am not, have never, nor will ever be, a part of any organized religion. And my guess is, neither are you. Neither one of us would do very well as Poppers or Marines, I'm afraid. As soon as I Googled Wag-L-pop and discovered its history, I knew I was in the wrong place. The more I found out about this so-called "venue", the more pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. Ray has a vendetta against eBay, and I agree, he probably also has a vendetta against the WP1 folks. Chances are, he has a vendetta against everybody else he's run across in his life he feels has wronged or disserted him and he wants to "prove" something to: a nasty Boy Scout leader, an overprotective mother, a teacher that flunked him in math, the kid who stole his lunch money -- THE WORLD. Watch his decorim unravel as the rats start desserting the ship. Fab/Platzki: I only forgive people who individually, under the own will, with malicious intent, have spread untruths about me, attacked my character, honesty, or dedication. You did none of those things so there's nothing to forgive. I simply said I couldn't feed my family on vision and prayers, something that many saw as "negative" and "lacking faith". You came down on me as part of the mass hysteria that Ray generates, unlike our friend Scott Vulgar, who knew EXACTLY what he was doing. We all have moments of insanity, when our judgment is impaired. I'll be the first to admit giving Ray one second of my time, one calorie of energy and one penny from my pocket was certainly one of mine. You had the good sense to start looking at that whole fiasco with a sober eye and get out before it was too late. Bully for you! I doubt Mr. Vulgar will -- his ego won't allow it. Ray will get as much mileage as he can out of Poppers before they start waking up. AdSmart yesterday. AdSmart bonus today. Gee, I wonder what more hair-brained schemes to get the lemmings to shed their skins, drop their wallets and fall into the ocean? He'll ride this wave as long and as far as it takes him. In the end, he won't be proving anything to anybody, except how insecure, egotisical, greedy and self-absorbed he is. That's because -- HELLO -- Ray is not a business giant and WP isn't a business. |

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
It would make more sense if they were getting good sales. If you're making sales, it pays to stay. But they're not (most of them anyway) and I just don't get it. The responses make me insane... "I've had two sales in three months but I just know we're gonna get slammed over the holiday season!" or... "I haven't had any sales but I just know if I stick it out, they will come." My personal favorite is, "I have faith that things will happen."
HUH? Where do they think the people are going to come from? Besides, if they are referring to having faith in themselves to work hard and make good decisions, that I agree with but if they are referring to religious faith then I think that is selfish. With everything that's going on in the world... Iraq, N. Korea, etc. God's got his hands full... to think he gives two hoots and a holler about someone's WP store is totally looney tunes. I respect all religions, races and opinions so please no one take offense. I just hate when people put it on "a higher power" rather than taking responsibility for they're own success or failure. I pray when it's warranted (and sometimes for selfish reasons) but I am responsible for my own actions, no one else. |

That's why I posted anonymously here when I first came... things were still too "new" for me to say who I was. I just changed overnight. It was like a lightbulb came on and I said "What the heck is going on here?" I truly like some of the sellers over there and hate that they just refuse to see the light as well. It's so frustrating. Imagine how they'll feel when they finally do start figuring things out. Horribly violated and betrayed... at least that's how I would feel. |
