Wanted to know if it was ok to ask a seller what their reserve price is on an auction. This is the same buyer that posted on the Advanced board before and was told he shouldn't complain about lack of products on the site.  :turkey2:

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
For those of you that can't get into the WP minimall forum, this was my first post...

Quote:Hi all...

Good to see some of you guys still around!!! I can't even get on to WP... Karen has blocked my IP so I was glad to find this forum! I got kicked off WP too for asking too many advertising questions and for making a comment about someone elses "intentions".

I wasn't selling there so I guess they figured "no loss"...

Anyway... Bric!!! Leave it to you to start a whole forum!!! You always have so much motivation I don't know how you do it!!

I read thru this whole thread and saw a lot of people mention how slow the WP boards are... is it really due to censorship the way a couple of people mentioned? I miss the WP boards of the old days! They were so much fun!! And I miss the weight I lost eating a virtual breakfast every morning!!

Here's to you guys!! I hope all is well and I'll check in again later!!

AFTER A FEW WELCOMING POSTS, THIS WAS MY NEXT POST THIS MORNING...

Quote:Thanks ladies!!

You're right Bric, I did leave to go back to E... after the initial shock wore off from the fee hike, I realized a few things! That I'm one heck of a business woman and that all businesses have expenses. I was selling and making a nice profit of OOAK on eBay. Tweaking a little would have been all it took to keep that momentum going but I got mad, let my emotions take over and moved to WP, where although I did have a few sales, it wasnt like it was on eBay.

But I hung in there for another month or so losing money the entire time. I started questioning the whole advertising thing in my mind and on the boards. I had advertised, sent mailers and put in a good word for WP every chance I got and still.... nothing.

My online sales were my livelihood and my contribution to our household income so I didn't have time to mess around. So I left WP and went back to eBay and still visited WP's boards to talk to you guys and to see if they were making any progress in the advertising area. Karen would yell at me and pull my posts when I mentioned anything about advertising. Finally, she just banned me altogether... if I knew I was gonna get the boot for what I said, I would have said more!!!!! LOL Then she sent me a nasty-gram e-mail which I nasty-grammed her back on and that was the end of FAB on WP!!!  Did you know she sends nastygrams to poppers who don't tow the line on the boards? And they are nast-eeee!!!

So, after all was said and done, I lost so much money (low fees and low sales still equal low profit)... I had to get a job working 5 days a week. I have chronic arthritis and fibromyalgia and now I have to drag myself out of bed and out the door early each morning for the mistake I made moving my items to WP. I have convinced myself that staying at eBay woud have been the better thing to do.

The only good thing to come out of it was all of you!!

Seeing that Karen is still controlling the boards and pulling posts is just sad. I'm glad I can come here and say what I feel and not be judged for it! You all know me here and respect my thoughts even if you don't necessarily agree with them. I would have never been able to tell you all this over on the WP boards... this post would have been pulled so fast, it would have made my head spin!!

I still hate the fees on eBay and sometimes I do feel annoyed with it but at WP, I was making so few sales that the $9.95 a month didn't justify itself. I also saw the whole Adsmart thing before I got kicked off and am hoping that the sellers realize that they are being snowed big time. The purpose of Adsmart is to direct buyers to your items first right? BUT... who's directing them to WP in the first place?? Every click costs the seller 10 cents + the cost of the ad program itself. So the store is $9.95 and if I remember correctly the adsmart program is $9.95 + 10 cents a click + FVF's... It's starting to sound like eBay!! But at least eBay has traffic!!!

I'm sorry... I don't mean to bring everyone down and I certainly don't want to create animosity on this beautiful board that Bric has been so wonderful to do for everyone... I guess I just have some unfinished complaints and have no where to express them!!! ROFL!!!!! So feel free to ignore me if you want!!!!! ROFL!!!!!

So to finish up and summarize and all that stuff... I wish everyone luck no matter what!!!!!

So... is that a good start?  I just hope that if they ever discover this thread... they realize that we are trying to "HELP" not hinder!!!!! Confused1  These are good people that just have drank too much Koolaid!!!! Smileykoolaid

Even the WP Power Sellers Unite master is tossing his pompoms with less enthusiasm, as are some other current and past cheerleaders who are afraid to say anything on the WP boards due to the "Zero Tolerance" policy. The general feeling among many of the posters to this new forum (as I interpret it), is that WP right now is a very boring place to be -- the shine is dulling from Eve's apple.

For those of you unable to get into the WPminimall Board, here are a few quotes:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all, thanks Bric for the forum at least we now have a place to speak freely, I'm sorry your not getting responses about MM on the boards. Your right it certainly is quiet. I think it has come to the point where people are just not posting because there are sooooo many new rules as to what you can't say. It's too bad it has come to this as it was in the beginning a real fun place and we always had fun on the boards. Also we can't put any links on our me page for our websites is a shame. There's only so much we can do on our own.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been on WP since the beginning and I've never seen it this quiet. I thought it might be just because everyone is busy listing or busy with real life reasons. But I get to see the stats from the MM and it just has me stumped. Its like someone turned the power off. LOL. We use to have almost 75-100 hits a day to that page from everywhere. Now it has dwindled down to a few a day. So this had me thinking of a way to get to talk to WP store members. Thus this forum.

People are scare to list on the boards as they seen what happens. (name edited), you got a raw deal I think it's a shame they did what they did just because you were concerned on a most valid question. Your reward for this was to get put out. I wrote Karen that you were a great member and should be aloowed back in I also did this e-mail yesterday but I can understand if you did not want to come back.

I'm not very happy about WP's current hard-line policy. I understand the need to keep postings friendly between posters - but a valid question, however often asked, should be respected. It is not the membership's fault if WP can't field the questions or deal with the issues, whatever their time or money constraints.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. . . no sales on WP. I closed One Of A Kind today tho and spent 2 days shifting all those items into Bricabrac so it's been a lot of work for me. Only sales I had in the last week is from ebay. . . I didn't understand the purpose of the Showcase and Featured stores anyway with WP still being so new. Later on, it would make more sense to me.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact that CURRENT as well as X-poppers are having to create a separate, undergound forum AT ALL to discuss issues relating to their businesses indicates real cracks in the foundation of the company they represent. Any time a regime, business, organization, country has to build walls (be they brick and mortar, ideological, or built through threats and intimidation), to keep its members from ESCAPING, it's only a matter of time before the gates are stormed. While die-hard cheerleaders are still spamming Auctiva and poo-pooing TT for being a bunch of "biased" rebel-rousers whose intent is to "get back" at WP through put-downs and insults as a strategy to pursuade members to purchase TT's services, others are lurking TT, and reading the thread, which can only serve to discredit the cheerleaders.

The clock is ticking. If eBay chooses NOT to institute another fee hike after the first of the year, WP will surely boil down to a drained, listless, residue of cheerleaders who hang on simply because they have been baked into the amalgom of the pot.

I almost feel like I'm betraying them by posting what I say there on this board.  But I know in my heart that it is with good intentions and not malicious ones.

I am not trying to get them to leave WP to hurt Ray but to keep the people I know from getting hurt. I hope that makes sense!! ???

Platzki,

Makes perfect sense and I feel everyone has the same intensions that posts here. Be true to your heart, Your heart speaks the truth and that is what they need to hear for it is that and only that that will free them from the corruption at WP. I don't think anyone has had bad intensions towards any sellers on WP. What happened there was that ka/ray twisted the truth and lied about his intensions, in doing so he was able to put good people at odds over the questions he should be answering. You know what I mean and if not I will try to center todays wagglefact around this. Great job!!!

The censorship by Karen was a fatal mistake.  The posts that painted WP in a unflattering manner may have cost a them a few stores, but it would also give the cheerleaders a chance to rally in support of WP. Instead WP is losing the forum community feel that kept many sellers there despite having slow sales.
