And, include listings either left up when a store closes or listings abandoned when someone is promptly ex-communicated. They will continue to be ignored by the internal search engine for browsing purposes but will still be there to pad the listing count.  Angryfire Angryfire

What I don't understand is why does no one question this? What exactly does 'train' the software to count listings mean? I know what that means, but I can't understand why the Jolly Poppers don't question this at all. Seems to me that when the 'new' search was implemented, it was counting listings correctly and that's why the number dropped. I know I can't that way off base with this. Am I?

I was going to question it, but since I'm only a buyer on Pop Land, I didn't want to look too suspicious  >Big Grin. I don't want to get terminated yet. Since I'm on the 'watch list', I'm being extra careful  Wink

Hehehe, yep you better be careful!  Dazed008
Although I think FineThings said she was on like her 5th ID there. How dumb can Ka/Ray be? Never mind, I don't really need an answer!

Race, I don't blame you for wanting to stay low. Hopefully someone will find the light at the end of the tunnel.

There are some smart business people on WP (no this is not an oxymoron) such as Chainman. I continue to wonder how he/they can justify in their minds that 2 + 2 = 10. Why, with the loss of 250 stores in two months + why when the listing numbers of the top 25 haven't increase significantly = the mysterious total number of active listings which just keeps going up!!!  And why the PSU listing number varies so greatly, is so much lower than, the one posted each week ON THE FRONT PAGE of WP by Karay.  Violent1  Violent1

I agree. There are some very smart business people at Pop Land. I am amazed that they can't see what is really going on there. Maybe with all these stores closing right now some of their eyes will be opened. Maybe not all the way yet, but maybe it will get them to start figuring out that something isn't right there. MAYBE.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
The store that just posted that it is closing has 40 items in it. Here is the post:

Quote:1 sale since May is not my idea of "getting anywhere"
Nor, is paying the madatory 9.99 a month for seller pro stores it seems if you close your store you have to close your account also!!!....WP way or the highway..I do not understand why my account cannot just stay opened thru choice...and I am not into paying fees month by month with no results.

When I only sell but one thing in 8months...time to move on.160 in total fees from May for selling 19.99 item ...is just not worth it to me.

I am not into the sellers buying from sellers to keep this site going and get feedback.

There are no buyers here for me ....and...I have went as low as low can be in pricing..(I cant even buy the items for the prices I put my stuff on WP for...did it just to get things going)....and it hasn't.

WP seems to be a one man show..offers little to no advertising to the buyer..therefore ...no sales for me...WP very good with the hoo-rah's but yet show effort in helping get buyers (leaving it to the sellers perhaps...while collecting the monthly's)

Good luck to all of you...who are making sales even if from one another...or however your doing it..I will be 9.99 richer now.

I gave it my best shot...that I know.

no smart retro comments are needed ..I am not asking for help or need my opinion dissected......we all have opinions...mines are fact based..
facts are... If it walks like a duck!!
Bye all...

I left her screen name and real name off. I didn't want to disclose any personal information (unlike KaRAy does).  ;D Wave

What is means is that there probably never was a new search implemented

If they had installed a new search engine the search form code would probably have changed.  As you can see, WP's search form code is exactly the same as TheAuctionMan.net which also uses rscript.

Regic,  I'm useless when it comes to reading script code. What does the second last line mean? It varies from size= 10 to 25. Would this be the number of items to be found in a search?  Thanks in advance!  Love4
