Is everyone jumping on the bandwagon of closing or did this happen because online Holiday selling season is all but over?
[/quote]

My opinion is that its a mixture of both. People's eyes are starting to be opened as they see 'long-term' Poppers leave. Sales should have been at their strongest the last few weeks. Even for a new venue, you would have expected to see an increase in sales, instead there is a month to month decrease in sales.

This would be my guess.  Online sales are strong this year (except on Wagglepop) and nothing Ray can say will make up for the lack of sales WP sellers' are experiencing during the busiest shopping period time of year.

My eBay has dropped off in sales too, tho.  And at Wagglepop I never really had any.  I can't close my stores tho until I pay WP this $20 - how dumb is that anyway?

They have no legal department.

So it's just bullshit if they only want store fees.

I would really question Karen about how you can possibly owe $20 when you are not receiving $20 worth of services by closing your store before the anniversary date. I'd tell her to go ahead and sue and kiss your a$$.

They do have a legal email folder Happy001

The odd thing is that they always claim they are closing stores that don't pay their fees, but then refuse to close stores until they pay their fees.  Icon_scratch

There is no excuse for your odd behavior.  You are just trying to do a little damage control since so many stores are slamming the doors and people are starting to ask questions.

Yeah that doesn't make sense.  I just checked and according to my one account, I don't have a balance.  But the 10th is coming soon, so I emailed Karen and had her close my user name immediately.  I'm still undecided about the other name.  I can't figure out where to drop my stuff in the interim.  Plus I know I'm going to have to pay that fee. I think. I'll go check

I think you're right, Star. I was actually giving them the benefit of the doubt with next June. I don't see them 'recovering' from this though unless eBay really jacks sellers in February. Even then, the 'exodus' will be short-lived like it always is.
