In the same time period I made $200. less in my eBay store with FAR higher fees, and zero sales on any of the 5 other sites that I had listings on.

Simply arguing about how many sales were made over a short period is meaningless to me. I rather hear your views on why WP is the place to sell? What advantages does it have over other free and low fee sites?

OK, last post and I gotta sleep (only functioning on about 3 hours right now, lol).

First of all my guess with the other 5 sites is that they were similar to WP. Little to no traffic with a very lean sell-through rate. Not your fault, just goes with the territory. Now eBay, different situation and it has been up and down there lately. For me, I've done very well, however, I know others that haven't done great lately. I guess all I can tell you is I have seen many people that came to WP in the hopes of leaving eBay go back to eBay after they realize that while their fees are higher, they actually made money. A LOT of people, lol. Have you thought about just starting your own website? Something to consider, you could just put in a little time each day as you were able. The payoff would be so much greater for you.

EVEN IF I could make a lot of money on WP, I would avoid it at this point. Why? The trust-based thing is bull. Internet Martial Law has taken hold. Do you really think its to keep things 'productive'? No, its to hide the truth from people seeking answers to legitimate questions. In addition, some very unethical things have taken place and I personally don't care to contribute to the financial well-being of someone like Ray Romeo.

Look ~ like I said, I mean no ill-will towards you at all. I hope it works out for you there, I really do. If/when its not enough or it doesn't work, come on back and lots of people here will help with ideas, knowledge, etc. Just stop thinking we're 'out to get you', it really isn't like that at all.

I tried it and it was not a good experience for me.  I think it is great that it fits some people.  I just think they should make a VERY informed decision.  If censorship is no big deal for them and they need the friends that hug and pray for them on the boards the WP
is definitely the best place for them.

PowerSeller,

Many, many of us have multiple college degrees.  We have the brains.  WP just is not the site for some of us brainiacs.

"Powerseller...seriously what gives?..what is your bottom line. Are you trying to convince some of us to go back and give it a whirl? or that the site is indeed an honest venue ..and not run by a dictator?...or that the sellers there are indeed making it quite well financially?"

Yes, the site is indeed an honest venue.  Sellers can indeed make it quite well financially if they have the brains to do it.  Everyone here can think what they want and do what they want, but I've provided some truth if anyone is interested.  If not, you can all go back to your WP bashing and forget that I was ever here.

Your welcome to stay, but how about actually discussing your views on WP instead of just throwing out sales figures.  What is your opinion on the increasing censorship, the growth trends, and future plans of WP?

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
One very important item: Powerseller had this same discussion taken place on the WP forum, it would have been edited, posts would have been deleted, and very likely a member would have been suspended.

It is imperative in a free society that speech be allowed expression. The vast majority of posts that have been deleted on WP were neither in violation of Ray's policies or profane, obscene, etc... The post's were merely opinions, conjectures, and valid questions regarding the site, request for closure, and yes debate. They were deleted solely as a means of control by Ray, and to silence any perceived dissent.

People who leave and close up shop now have basically been banned to a bottom board dungeon. How is that courteous,or respectful, and why on earth is that even being supported by other members.  :blinkie:

I, too, would like to hear your opinion on the future plans of WP. Oh, I forgot, no one knows what the future plans are. If you ask a question concerning that, it gets deleted.
