I think why some store are open with just a few items , is the store owner closed the shop and are not even looking at wagglepop stuff. But, wagglepop did not finish the closing. At one time all you had to do is send a email to Karen, tell her to close and it would be done. So, if they did what they told them to do, on the boards, there stores would remain open.So who knows how many active stores there really are..I paid my final fees and all I can say is not sure where I will go too yet.... but sure it will be better than :raypoop: [/quote] Congrats on your new found freedom! let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Ok, let me tell you my sob story....
I was walking across the street and was hit by a car. Multiple surgeries and a neurological disease resulting. So now you know and I hope you all take pity on me and give me lots of backing by shopping in my store and supplementing my income because as you can see I have health issues. Oh wait, I stopped selling online a little while after leaving WP cause WP left such a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry to sound so scroogy here, but I am tired of hearing "poor me" (I used to say it to myself and am now over it) Thank you Overheadbin, Cash and chiquita!! I do not use my "problems" to justify how my online business does or doesn't do. We all have life issues and they are not the basis for our business successes or failures. The amount of effort, advertising and the "online venue" we choose directly affects how much business we have. So with that said, hurray to those who make a decent living online. And Powerseller hurray to you if you are selling on WP and doing well. You haven't been bit by the Rayster yet and when you do please come back and tell us how it feel.s
Good bye all
Enjoy your freedom Use it well |

It says you have 0 items but the store is still active. Your store doesn't show up in the store count. My guess is it is still active so I would demand that they close it now. And no, you don't sound 'scroogy'. We all have issues, regardless if its physical, financial, emotional, etc. That has nothing to do with WP or the points anyone was trying to make. Powerseller, you can sit and whine 'poor me' all day, but it doesn't pay the bills. Basically by reminding us over and over of YOUR issues, that is what you're doing. Platzki, I'm too lazy to go back and quote you - but very well said!!

I would never mention my own problems online or use them for pity sales. I draw a sharp line between my private life and my online activities and throwing around health issues online for everyone to see crosses that line.

Thanks Kaboing, I highlighted my favorite part of your post. I never wanted to post my "health issues" but I did to make a point. Now going to feel sorry for myself.
Good bye all

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Oh, everybody come buy from me, too!!!!!!!! I just moved to Georgia, knowing nobody here, having no job, and no car (totalled in CA) but the eBay business I left in California, where I lived for the last 25 years. No contacts, no nothing. I had to start all over again from scratch at age 59 building a business in a place I'd never been before. Oh, and I too, had been hit by a car just prior to moving out here and had to fly back to California for the trial. The attorney that had been working on the case was called away and his colleague in the office took it over with exactly 1 day of preparation, and after spending the money to fly out, I wasn't even given assurance my case would be heard. BOO HOO, VIOLINS. Good grief, Powerseller, get off your pity potty.
The TT people here are the only ones that know this story. THAT'S BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MEAN JACK TO ANYBODY -- including ME. The only thing that matters is where I go from here, to try to make my time as productive as I can, and my stay on WP was the BIGGEST WASTE OF MY TIME, ENERGY AND RESOURCES I've encountered since I started selling on-line in 1998. And yes, I actually did sell some items. Unlike some, THIS IS MY LIVING, MY ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME, and I can't afford to dink around. If strokes, prayers, and violins help make you feel better -- great. They don't pay my bills. And because I simply asked what WP was offering for the money it was sucking out of me that a dozen other on-line venues couldn't offer for free, I was excommunicated. Their loss of a VERY GOOD, HONEST, RESPONSIBLE SELLER with high integrity and standards of service. Right now you're the apple of Ray's eye, but I double dare you to ask that simple question on a forum, and see what happens to you. Just keep smooching Ray and live in the world of denial. Maybe you'll become a shining star and Ray will want to change the name of his site to Ray's Trading Cards and Thong Panties. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sweets, I'm sorry to hear about that... but I love your attitude!! (you too Alskling...)
I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia so bad some days I can barely move. Â In fact, I called out sick today because I am in so much pain, the thought of a full days work was more than I could bear! The whole reason I work in the first place is because I made the stupid decision to close my eBay store and move to Wagglepop. Â I blame no one but myself for this decision but see... between my eBay sales and my husbands salary, we were doing just fine. Â With all the hype of WP and this "great venue" I thought it would be the same. Â I lost so much money in the 3 months I was the, we were one paycheck away from disaster. Â I had to bite the bullet, swallow my tears, close my WP store, re-open on eBay do 100 hours of extra work moving my inventory around AND get a job... So now, rather than being my own boss as I had been and being able to take care of myself and take it easy on those "bad days", I have to drag myself out of bed, get two kids out the door and myself ready for work, work all day and cry on my way home because I hurt so bad and am in so much pain! Oh... and did I mention that I'm only 38 years old and I've been sick since 2002? I don't ask for pity parties and I don't ask for sympathy sales... in fact, I believe no one here knew that I'm sick prior to this post... so please Powerseller... we all have issues... we all have problems... we just don't all flaunt it for attention. |
