I agree Kaboing.  I also see all of the wagglewonderous posts pushing real issue threads to the nowhere land that buyers can't see.

Quote:"Due to a combination of DDOS attacks, public disinformation campaigns, and personal harassment, the site is closed, forever. I'd rather not discuss it further. I'm bitterly angry, and done," said Romeo.

This makes me so mad everytime I read it!  I was there and watched the whole thing as it transpired. I wasn't working at the time and had plenty of time to bounce back and forth between the OTWA and FAS forums.

1) There was no DDOS attack, his crappy servers just couldn't handle the load of traffic.
2) There were no public disinformation campaigns...he got caught in a pack of lies and got called on it.
3) The personal harassment was simply people asking serious business questions, like what he had to offer sellers and how he planned on advertising/marketing Wagglepop.  (Which everyone thought was a stupid name the FIRST time around!)

Any of that sound familiar?   Angryfire

You're right Kaboing.  On WP critical timing=damage control.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Also...I was one of those people who received a spam email when WP2 opened up and I had never registered anywhere but their forums (WP1).

Everyone's information was destroyed. Yeah right.   Angryfire

River, et. al.
Notice we haven't heard much from some of the most recent X-poppers or current poppers who post here? I'm thinking some might be in too much shock to digest it. I know I had a few "this is just too incredulous to be true" moments.

Alskling, I've noticed that too. They are either in shock by what they've read, or they have decided to read this thread from the beginning.

If you are reading this thread from the beginning, Happy reading. Take your time and digest it all.

Race, you and Alskling both may be right.
There's a lot to digest and it makes you sick.  I sincerely hope they will do the research and read as much as they can.  Hopefully, their 'brain' will be in agreement with their 'gut' and they'll realize how lucky/smart they were to get out when they did.

Unfortunately, some of the current poppers will never get it no matter how hard we try to show them otherwise.   I keep wondering how many of them were part of the 'faithful flock' the first time.  You'd be surprised how many there were that still believed in him even after he threw a hissy fit and slammed the door in their faces.  According to them, it was all the "trolls" fault WP shut down.  :Smile

The first go 'round was unbelieveable and I was shocked he had the nerve to even show his face again.   :blinkie:

Even after him saying, after the debacle that was WP1, he would NEVER open again.  Gagamaggot

Wish I'd read at least that before I dropped my bucket at WP2. He never did eat those words. Just pretended the chronology surrounding it didn't happen.  Boinktard
