Funny, how now that the rats are beginning to abandon ship, KaRay MAGICALLY comes up with new lumps of cheese to keep them dangling on the line.

Check out this new one:

"Hello Members,

Following up on previous discussions, I can post an update about the Wagglepop merchandise portal.

Finalized in design and for inclusion during the first quarter of 2007 is the new portal called Wagglepop Stuff.

By visiting Wagglepop Stuff, members (and non-members) will be able to browse and purchase WP-branded items such as t-shirts, mouse pads, and hats (as examples), but also be able to browse some interesting "historical" collectible-type items related to Wagglepop in general.

We think everyone will find Wagglepop Stuff to be an interesting and fun place to visit and shop, and a nice addition and support to our overall marketing of Wagglepop over the long-run Smile

Karen - WP Customer Care"

What I love BEST about this wonderful new progrm is that both MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS can purchase these dopey items (which most companies simply give away, and write off as "advertising and promotion"), whereas only MEMBERS are allowed to purchase items WP's own SELLERS have for sale. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE EGO!!!!!!!!!!!

And, by the way, what could be "historical" items? Plaster casts of the doggy-do Ray claims to have received through the mail?  A true collector's item, for sure. What's next? Wagglebucks? Wagglepoints? And of course, the ultimate "WAGGLE LAND", where you can take the "E"-ticket ride through the great tunnel into business question oblivion, where your car stops half-way and you're ejected for wondering what the tunnel opens into.

This site has to be the laughing stock of the e-commerce world.
[/quote]

I know I'm waaay behind on reading, but just had to mention I sell historical corporate memorbilia...and once it's all said and done 50 years from now those items will be worth something to historians...
but since I won't be around in 50 years...not investing here :Smile

It's so quiet here tonight.

I knew I should have never posted.  The curse of the thread-killer.  Sad

I hope Sweet and I didn't kill it reposting old data, but we thought it might help.  :blinkie:

Race I just got back from my son's band concert. I was composing tunes in my head too. I had to sit through 3 other bands before my son's group performed. Well I amused myself. See Sweet I told you those classic christmas tunes will never be the same.

chiquita, I think reposting old data is a good thing. Some people don't have the time to read the entire thread, and this gives them a chance to see the key posts.

Apparently we all have something else in common....band kids!  My son's concert is Thursday night.  Luckily, they don't usually play too many of the traditional songs.  I don't know if I could stand it!  Happy001  Happy001  Happy001

WAGGLEFACT OF THE DAY

What the top three have done the past 90 days.

Fact:

Total listings as of 12/12/06 11PM EST for the top three stores based on items listed = 16,923 listings.

Percentage of all items listed on WP = about 10.6%

Total sales last 90 days = 48 (based on feedback)

Total income from sales = $111.03 (does not include shipping)

Total store fees paid for the 90 days = $89.55

Estimate of fvf for all 48 items = $3.60

Estimated profit that would be split among all three sellers = $17.88 over 90 days.

Seller sales breakdown:

#1 = 46 sales total $105.28
#2 = 0  sales total $0.00
#3 = 2  sales total $5.75

But wait did they make any money at all? I didn't account for inventory costs. Well you can do the math but I like the way Ray puts it and is over looked by most.

Quote:As a comparative example, if you were to list 1000 items and sell 10 items at $10.00 each, that's $100.00 of revenue, less $9.95 participation cost, which equals a profit of $90.05 before other expenses such as Final Value Fees, PayPal fees (if applicable), inventory costs, and other related expenses.

The "sell-thru" in this example would be less, at just 1%, but with a larger profit of $90.05, a $50.00 increase!

Sell-thru has no meaning in and of itself in the SmartSell Pro selling environment.

Quote:Sell-thru has no meaning in and of itself in the SmartSell Pro selling environment.
Yes it does Ray. It has meaning for the seller. The only person it doesn't have meaning to is Ray. You see it is a win win for him. Oh by the way the numbers above in no way show any meaning towards the click through rate of the AdSmart program.

Great WaggleFact!  Thumbsup

Well my eBay auctions have ended for the night and one of them already paid (Yeah!), so I think I'm going to turn in for the night.

I've still got 10 orders to fill, four orders to ship and I need to address Christmas cards to the customers, which I hate doing.  Heck, I don't even send cards to my family and friends.  Happy001

Tomorrow's going to be a busy day...if I can stay off the boards.  :Smile

G'nite all!!  Signs068
