Quote:Ditto.  I also think that the "alternative venue" everyone has been waiting for officially opened on June 29th but people don't realize it because it's not a traditional "venue" format.  Google Checkout will in effect make Google's search engine "the venue" and the winners will be individual websites selling fixed price items.  Checkout may also help to alleviate many of the fraud concerns people currently have when shopping on smaller web sites.

I agree. But they just won't "get" it. Over & over on the stores board I have told people to think outside of the Ebay box and I am talking to a brick wall in most cases. Why in H would they want another Ebay as it is today?

What they *want* is a single popular place, with a warm fuzzy community, where there are thousands of sellers and millions of buyers.

What/where/who that *is* is anybody's guess...

Auctions had their 15 minutes of fame.  It's over.

wow.. who would ever guessed this... wagglepop has 400 PAID stores which soon will fill the site with listings...just alittle over 2 months!! wow!!

did look at site closely.. and it is truly  the best site out there from  a buyers standpoint.. IF it is safe???  its speed is good and so enjoyable looking around so strong and vibrant.. according to alexa.com  speed  is  loading pages  is 2.7 seconds... ecrater is 3.1 seconds.. ebay is 3.5 seconds and ioffer is  3.9 seconds....

if it becomes safe.. this site because of how buyers will love coming to it and going back and looking will be the ONE!!  the one that can give real competition to ebay with the auction mode.....  froogle will take over all the other online shopping with search for specific items of different webstores... but buyers need a place to put in a search for an interest and see it ever changing  like how auctions do... ending auctions all come up on first page and first listing... this way the buyer can keep coming back and seeing different items in his interest....

wow  wagglepopers  are indeed coming back from the DEAD and they have the best foundation of any off ebay auction site by far....buyers will love visiting and looking in this site... its the BEST out there for buyer enjoyment and ease...!!!!!  this will kill all off ebay sites!!

wow.. who would ever guessed this... wagglepop has 400 PAID stores which soon will fill the site with listings...just alittle over 2 months!! wow!!

In ONE month, Dec 15 to Jan 15 (or so) of 2004/2005, WP had over 5000 email addresses for really interested and excited sellers, and prolly another 5000+ waiting in the wings to jump on board.  PLUS...the world was bug-eyed and watching.  There was HUGE hype before the site even opened!

99% of those eager ebay defectors are now too suspicious and distrustful of anything Ray Romeo will be calling the shots on.

400 stores in two months is NOT a sign of anything important happening -- especially when the *great marketing expert* is peculiarly so silent at this time when ebay sellers are hurting and screaming bloody-murder!  Sorry.  Once again, it looks like he's missing the boat.  Too bad...

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
it looks like bidville has about 400 stores at 5 dollars a pop.. and wagglepop with 400 in 2 months at 10 dollars.... wow !!! this is unbeleivable!!!! wow!!! HOW could that happen???

i went to look around and i think i see WHY... it is the BEST site from a buyers standpoint by far!!!  it is so easy to look around.. so vibrant and solid and clean...it has a clean feedback system  like ebays  tested feedback system... yes all the other off ebay sites will be trying to derail this for sure along with many hired ebay guns.... this site has  IT !!! soon these 400 stores will start filling the site fast with items and then when ebays store fees increase kicks in the stores there will be able to see  so much activity here and  then make a REAL stampede of thousands upon thousands of stores... this is  just STARTLING.!!!!

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
the traffic ranking for the site is soaring... now down to 24,000 th.. ecrater is down to 15,000.. the lower the number the more the traffic.... and if rays server can keep that speed better than ebay.. ioffer.. ecrater  ... since it is by far the most enjoyable for a buyer to look around for stuff.. these buyers will come and come again and the traffic ranking will really take off!!!  and these 400 stores will fill  the site up just in time for the big push of sellers away from ebay  when the store fees kicks in... these new potentials will be able to see alot of activity at that time... and that is when the REAL EXPLOSION will occur.... wow!!!  can the server keep up??
