You could make a case that they were hurt financially by having their stores shut down after asking questions in the forums.  The problem is that for most people the sales have been so slow, it would be hard to make the case that they lost any money from the store closure.

Thank you for the compliment but you might have missed who I was supporting. The OP of this thread was Oklahoma Mama who I was referring to. Power Seller, aka AS777 is another issue. She has been guzzling the high octane Kool-aid for so long her tank is corroded. She doesn't want to know the truth. She is an ostrich, in permanent denial, and will be there on day one when WP3 opens cheering once again.

WP has always allowed sales and registration to the UK. Of course its possible some sellers are telling international customers to lie about their location so they can register.

I think this statement really summed everything up pretty well:

Ray's 'failure' was that he was too busy with board politics when he should have been recruiting programmers to help him, since he was apparently not technically inclined and so incapable of handling the task of getting a functioning site up and running.

The failure was also taking all criticism as a personal attack. And thinking it was ingratitude since he was offering us a 'free' service.

Which is absurd since in the business world time is money, and there is nothing free if it is taking up our time. 

What we 'demanded' was something unique and inspiring. What we almost got was an anemic clone of the 800 lb gorilla we had come to hate.

Nothing much has changed since WP1.   

Now to catch up on my reading here.
