A few of us (75% of online shoppers) don't shop at auction sites or auction site stores because they're not as user friendly as standalone stores with shopping carts. Smile

Count me in that 75% these days. Big Grin

PS// If I were to buy on an auction site, it would never be on WP for the following reasons:

1. An unethical owner  Puke
2. Lack of selection (too few sellers)
3. A quick look at the forums would totally reinforce any reservations I already had. Tongue1

Alskling, maybe you should change your name to spin master Notworthy  We could go back and forth all day  Pain10 ...I choose not to, I am a busy woman, shipping all those nonexistant sales I have Happy001  [/quote]

{{{I sense a touch of sarcasm}}} No one is questioning the fact that you have sales on WP.

What we're curious about is if all (most) of us used to be WP sellers and have all left for basically the same reason, that means that you're only one slightly negative question/post away from being given the boot yourself... and that's OK with you?

Also, WP closed down out of the blue last time and all the sellers lost EVERYTHING that they had invested including their precious time.  Listing were gone!!  Which means they had to sit and re-enter everything on another venue after they had just entered everything on WP... Lord knows, you can't sell an item unless it's listed so that makes time extremely valuable to each and every seller.  It doesn't bother you that one morning you may sit down at your computer, go to WP's site and it'll be gone? With no warning??

I was a seller on WP2 and I speak from experience in the way they treat you for just asking a question...  it amazes me that after reading thru this entire thread, you still don't get what we are trying to do.  We don't bash the sellers, we just don't like Ray and what he stands for.  The man has no integrity and after all... what is a man with no integrity?  A DOG!

Alskling AKA Spin Master,

"Ray taught me well"

I do not know Ray personally; I have a mind of my own and speak it as I please.  Just because you are brainwashed against WP or pissed because he has done you wrong in some way, does not mean he does not have a nice auction site that suits the needs of many trying to break fee bays hold on them.  It seems to me people are jealous of him and his success, why else would one waste so much time and energy bashing one small person on the big world wide web.  Its one thing to have a thread discussing selling strategies and helping each other out, and warning each other about problems selling various places.  It’s another to try to humiliate and destroy someone’s reputation that has good intentions, and by good intentions I mean setting up a viable selling alternative to e-bay.  I answered all your questions I cared to answer.  I would be sitting here writing a book if I sat here and answered all of them.  Sorry if you can't handle hearing a different point of view.

Where's the spin? I'm only reporting facts.

Anyone here think I humiliated and destroyed poor Ray? No, I think he did that on his own.

Ask far as jealousy is concerned: if anybody here is jealous or Ray's "success" please stand up. I'd like to know about that, too.

Viable alternative to eBay? My definition of "viable" is not traffic at 4 hundredths of one percent of eBay's. But what do I know.

Filling the needs of many? Over 40% of Ray's sellers have left since October, the peak buying season. Were their needs filled? No other auction venue I know of can claim that distinction.

You jumped from the frying pan into the fire, my friend. The only need that I can see that WP fills for its sellers is the need to huddle together, sing Kumbaya, send prayers and join in a mutual hate-fest on eBay. My idea of business has to do with setting up shop because a venue has something to offer, not because I'm trying to "break free" of any other. But then, after 8+ years and about 7,000 transactions, what do I know.

And how long did you say you've been selling on line, and how many transactions have you had in that time? And how long did you say you were actually living off your on-line income as a sole source to feed your family and put a roof over your head?
