Wasn't the "marketing campaign" creating press releases? I don't remember anything that involved paid ads of any kind, do you?
[/quote]

There was mention of press releases early on, I am not sure about currently. Remember there were press releases for WP1, followed by the articles about the abrupt closing down of the site. Whatever Ray is implying by marketing, it will either be free, or won't cost him too much money. He doesn't want to grow the site, except to keep enough people paying the monthly store fees, so that he has a comfortable living.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Lately I've been taking a hard and long look at the bottom stores that exhibit one item under 10.00.. Take for example the following:

http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/FASHION4ALLBIGANDSMALL

They have had this one item, this only item, listed for the past 3 months. List price $8.00. Store fees for the same 3 month period $9.95 X 3 =  $29.85. Now that has become one very expensive mug. Either the seller has money to burn or Karay is not charging for the sake of keeping this seller from leaving so the numbers don't tank. Frankly, I don't see this one as a keeper worthy of the effort so...maybe a store that closed in the past but Karay is keeping it for emergency exposure?
From a seller point of view - does it make sense to keep this store open, for this long, with this one item, at the cost per month??? Would you do it?

And a new/old resurrected store:

http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/UncleJoestradinpost

This is one of the stores that Truth mentioned a while ago that crops up when the count goes down and then disappears when a new seller signs up. I've personally seen this store come and go - always with one item - now you see it now you don't - at  least every month and sometimes weeks on end.

A teaser of proof to the claim that items remain listed once the store has closed. Check out this one:

Lurkers, by now your BS meter should be quivering in the red. If it isn't well stick around; I have more facts to feed you. I hope you don't choke on them.

All of these items are from The Country Needle, a store that does not exist anymore....and if you click in the "see more" box they all exist as well, but the store doesn't....
Good bye all

Quote:Hello Members,

Beginning today, we are starting the integration of a new more powerful search engine for Wagglepop, which once completed will allow for more precise searches and allow potential buyers maximum flexibility when shopping.

The integration will continue over the next 48-72 hours until completed.

During this period, the may be intermittent unusual search behaviors, but we expect that they will be minimized with each passing hour of the integration period.

Once completed, we'll be having a "Pizza Lunch" to discuss how buyers and sellers alike can optimize the new functionalities.

Thank you for your understanding and support while we complete this important site upgrade.

It's likely that it's just a dummy store that was set up by KaRay, to inflate the stores numbers--and no one is really paying for it.

These simple facts of proven listings that are in a store that isn't really there.  These real facts.  Has anyone posted these real facts on WP??????

Oh this so aggravates me.  It's wrong!  People are being taken advantage of.  I'm sorry to seem like I'm new lol, but when I see the hard cold facts in between the name calling and joking, it re-instills the boiling blood for these poor sellers!!!

OK regarding the popper who spewed loving affection for WP's homepage. Ummm she posted here awhile back, sort of a princess HINT HINT.
My advice, she needs a man, or she needs a shrink.

Being female and enjoying warm fuzzies like a cute puppy, or sweet kitten are perfectly normal.
