Princess, I was upset because you don't have the ability to respond on WP. That gives anyone on WP an advantage to say whatever they choose about former members. I also think whatever happened between you and Terry is your private business.

By the way congrats on the ecrater sales. I am glad you decided to give it a try.  Thumbsup

The initial suspicion that sent me down the road to discovery was that WP had to be inadvertently responsible for the sudden influx of spam email I was receiving on two addresses. One of them was strictly used for a Paypal account, was never in the public domain, and had never been a spamming target in my eBay years. But for the last four months the daily count was rising. So I hit Google and found this:

Does it really matter to anybody what my reason(s) might have been for leaving WP? Really? The fact is, I left. The 'why' of it doesn't belong on a public forum, IMHO...

I saw the whole logo/siggie thing while it was going on.  There's nothing wrong with friendly competition.  What hacked me off is the fact that you had two sellers with templates and logos.  Fine.  Then along comes a newbie offering to make free siggies for anyone who didn't have one.  That kills business for both sellers.  If there was a conflict between two competitors, it could only have been made worse by the third party.

Terry & Princess, I am glad that you are both here.  You both communicate with each other and this is one place you can agree or disagree in a businesslike, adult fashion.

Now, let's see what happens now that there is another photographer selling photos on WP.

Terry you have every right to tell or not tell the reasons for leaving WP.
Many folks here have been very candid and disclosed their personal reasons, others are still sellers on WP, and some never opened a store but were buyers.
In the meantime I hope Ebay brings you tons of buyers.

A few of the stores that closed today weren't small stores either!

8 Stores gone since I turned on the computer this morning, yet the listing count is EXACTLY the same. Only explanation is that those wonderful sellers closing their stores gave all their listings to the store owners still there. How wonderfully sporting of them!

Thanks, Chiquita! It's been slow over the holidays, but I'm hoping business will pick up in the New Year. And, if not, then I guess it'll be time to explore some other options... if I could only figure out what they were! LOL! Smile

Take care, all!

Terry
