I think it's his host that is the problem, not WP itself.  Anyone with that particular host is gonna have email/spam problems.  I think this was mentioned somewhere on this thread that it was probably not a good choice for hosts, as they'd been in spam blocking trouble before -- and maybe still were...  Right, regic?

No, that blacklist listing is because in September 2005 (about 3 months before Ray rented the server) the mail server's IP address was identified as being compromised by the Korgo trojan which is why the mail server is now listed as an exploitable server.  If Ray had half a brain he would ask his hosting company Ezzi.net to file the necessary documentation with SORBS that the problem was fixed  in order to have the IP address removed from the blacklist (or to have Ezzi move WP's mail server to a new IP if it wasn't fixed)

specifically it's the IP address that Wagglepop's mail server is on (which is only used by WP's mail server) but the hosting company should have done something about the problem before assigning the IP to WP since it looks like the problem started before WP's mail server was given that IP address.

So.  Ray was given a static IP address that used to belong to some scumbag spammer.  Cute.

The thread on the stores board to share encouraging stories about St. E has turned into a Wagglepop advertisement/meltdown. eBay must be sanctioning it to "scare" sellers about the alternatives. Pathetic. :raypoop: Kim

He's getting a boost of new sellers because of the eBay Store fee hike. I imagine a few other sites are getting a boost as well.

Hello thentavius - Wagglepop has such a bad track record I'm surprised at how many people believe it will work. I'm just wondering as others have said here if eBay is pumping it since they know it is lame. Kim

DD, I'm surprised, too.

As for eBay pumping it to remind people that eBay is "better"? Hmmm.... well, we know that eBay has hired people to post on the boards in the past. Sounds like it's possible.

Several of the Wagglepop users on the eBaY boards need to be deprogrammed.  "If you build it they will come".  "Brick by Brick".  "Join the Revolution". Puke  Smileykoolaid
