It's better to have an "old rat" then no rat at all.
That's REALLY debatable some days!! Hey YOHB...I think I took care of that pig problem for you over at PSU! :twistedevil:
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:the sellers do not wish to be called cult members - fine, I think that is fair Quote:Poppycock. I will not cater to the sensibilities of a few. RIGHT ON, YOHB! If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, IT'S A DUCK, DAMMIT! The duck in question can call itself any name it chooses -- canard, Mr. Mallard, Wagglebird -- I'm calling it a DUCK.
Does it strike anyone funny that store #3 based on listings at WP is not a founding member? If you ask me it seems like a highjacked store or some sort of trade off for the phone # that is listed in the store description. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network
Yes, it does strike me funny. I noted this store in another post (two actually), and hypothecized on the store presence in exchange for the phone number, business hours, etc. Since that time, the "Founding Member" icon program has been instituted, and I have a feeling that #3 didn't get his just deserts because Ray is punishing him for going on PSU complaining about no sales and wanting suggestions on St. Elsewheres to set up shop. It's Ray's subtle way of wagging his finger and exerting ultimate authority. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On another PSU note: After Bud asked if I had a degree (as a challenge, I suppose) and I replied that I did, more than one in fact, she says, "A member of my immediate family does have a degree in this field and that's a fact. I think that's the last thing she would be doing for work is selling online. I find that very very hard to believe. You don't talk like an educated person in my opinion." In a way, I was happy she made this statement because it demonstrates to everyone reading the thread how hypocritical these WP cheerleaders are in their accusations of insults, mud-slinging, name-calling, put-downs and "lack of professionalism" aimed at myself and other TTers. Like you said, YOHB, she hides behind a sock-puppet, while everywhere I am easily recognizable. I signed up on this forum under another name solely because I was still a seller on WP at the time and knew Ray (and his disciples) monitor this thread. He figured it out anyway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: I forgot to ask, DOES ANYBODY HERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IKARMA? Is it safe? Does anyone find it useful? Any info would be appreciated. |

Quote:Edit: I forgot to ask, DOES ANYBODY HERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IKARMA? Is it safe? Does anyone find it useful? Any info would be appreciated. The only thing I know about them is that I received several spam emails about their stock one week last year. The spam was probably sent by someone trying to drive up the stock price and make a quick profit and not them but... If you want to use a rating service use BizRate--it's free and they've been around forever (it's for website stores only--it won't work on eBay stores). Search for BizRate from the main page of TT and there's several threads. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Thanks, Amy.
Principally I'm collecting information with regards to the pros and cons of putting my own site together and all the incidental marketing tricks I'm going to need to investigate and decide upon. I'm always a little suspect of any outfit that pays to advertise on any blog site, such as PSU, reason being, if it were so great and not out to get its hand in my wallet in one way or another, it's reputation would speak for itself. Bud and the petals are blooming today on PSU. Every issue is a personal one with them. Our problems with WP are viewed as a personal attack. Again, cult members do not separate themselves as independent entities apart from the movement and the cause. Just the way Ray likes it. |
Bizrate is good because its free and you get very detailed ratings and reviews. Your ratings/review page also appears on both BizRate and Shopzilla. example reviews page: http://www.shopzilla.com/6B_-_mid--17965 ratings page: http://www.shopzilla.com/6E--J_R_Music_a...mid--17965 There are many free marketing tricks you can use: free shopping comparison engines (Froogle/Google Base, ShopWiki, Edgeio, etc.), blogs, rss feeds, social bookmarking services links on your site, and there are many other ways to promote your site for free without having to spam Craigslist or forums (like Poppers have done in the past) |
