Poll: Who is to blame for sellers leaving Wagglepop en masse?

This type of auction is cheap, unprofessional and hurts the legitimate sellers on ebay. Rationalizing it won't change what it is.

Hey all! I've been so sick this week, literally spent 2 days in bed. I don't remember the last time I felt like this, but finally feeling a bit better and trying to catch up here.

I found out what WP's latest advertising strategy is: spamming personal blogs. Last night I was bit annoyed to get this lil comment on one of my posts re. Waggleplop. (My blog: http://www.creativecompulsion.com)

First of all lurkers, THESE are the people who represent you. MY blog is NOT a public forum. Available for the public to read and even comment on? Yes. But public? I don't think so. I can (and will) say whatever I feel like saying. I can (and will) respond to your nonsensical ramblings if you choose to post comments. I stay pretty quiet most of the time and for the most part steer clear of the heated debates. Not because I don't have strong opinions, but because I prefer to observe and comment if something really riles me. BUT, Come challenge me on MY personal site and yes, I will respond. I guess that's negative, lol. Spamming someone's personal site doesn't help you, it makes you look worse. Since I don't believe in censorship, I let the comment stay there.

/rant to lurkers and potential commenters

Interestingly enough, my BF was sitting next to me when I was reading the comment left. Mind you, he is not an online seller, knows NOTHING about WP except that I sold there and I left. His comment? "What are those people like a cult or something?" SO... just goes to prove that someone looking from the 'outside in' sees the parallel.

Also interesting - my Spam filter caught this comment and rated its Spam Karma as -3. No kidding.

Going to finish catching up.

The other side of the coin is if they are happy with WP they should leave it at that instead of spamming blogs that are critical of WP.

Anyways, I always find comments like that humorous. Comments slamming others for being negative always come across as being negative too.

Yup, looks like Chain Man Books is either gone or has pulled tons of listings. He's no longer on the first page.
