I posted on this site today to ONCE AGAIN ask Alskling to stay out of my business and stop making up lies about me.

As for the listing count, I pointed out YOUR lie about adding up all of the listings from stores without even including all of the listings done by WP sellers who don't even have stores which could be a HUGE number of listings.Â I don't know how many it is, I don't care how many it is, I don't care how often the WP home page is updated, and NO I do not think that it is any kind of false advertising.

I will try harder to stay off this thread, but some of the BS that I see continuing here just ITCHES LIKE A BAD MOSQUITO BITE. :blinkie:

Look I am not saying you need to stay off TT in anyway but please back up your claims that 20% of the listings are from non store owners at WP. I find that hard to believe that those sellers would not know enough to take advantage of the $9.95 monthly fee. What you are saying doesn't make any sense to me and most others from an economics standpoint. If you are only making a statement rather then doing the research that is fine but state it as an opinion and not a fact.

You see the statement above is how we feel about WP but it would be a WASP instead of a MOSQUITO. TT has been our BITE CREAM and we haven't spent a dime for it.

If I was a seller, buyer, or potential seller or buyer on a site and I saw a rapid decline in the number of stores, that would alert me to look at the number of listings that were posted. If the number of listings posted at the site did not decrease to reflect the number of stores that closed, that would set off the alarm bells for me.

Stores closed at WP (2 of them alone had almost 10,000 items listed combined), yet the listing number posted on the home page of WP has NOT reflected those items as gone. If 2 stores close that have almost 10,000 items between the 2 of them and the listing number doesn't change, SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG.

Most business people I know, and most online sellers I know do care how often the listings are updated, especially after a drop in store numbers like WP experienced lately.

Having a number of listings that doesn't change after that big of a drop in stores + 10,000 items lost with the closing of 2 stores but the listing number not changing = FALSE ADVERTISING

People, open your eyes. Look for yourselves. It is posted for all to see. The store number dropped, the number of listings dropped (by 10,000+), yet the listing numbers posted on the home page are the same.

Edited to add: The listing number posted on the WP home page stands at 146,527. Thought I better add that in here since we know things change at WP so rapidly after lurkers have been here. Hello

False advertising defined.

False advertising is an act of deliberately misleading a potential client about a product, service or a company in general by reporting false or misrepresenting information or data in advertising or other promotional materials. False advertising is a type of fraud.

Well, I guess it's confirmed. Angel is PowerSeller hiding behind her sock puppet.

I added all the listings under all the categories under "brouse" and counted 86,274. Front page shows 146,527, I believe. PowerSeller claims the difference is due to many sellers having so many store inventory listings. Since when are the store inventory listings NOT brouseable? Are we to believe that 42% of the items listed on WP are NOT searchable on the site itself? Gimme a break! PART OF THE GRAND DECEPTION!

By the way, out of the items under "brouse", about 40,000 consisted of similar items, such as postcards/trading cards/books/magazines/mag ads.

I don't care what you believe. Just because the $9.95/month SSP program is great for me doesn't mean that it's right for everyone. I know many sellers who have tried individual listings on WP before opening stores or without ever opening stores. Some people just want to sell a few items because they don't have a large enough quantity of items to sell for a store to make sense (or don't have TIME to list enough items for a store to make sense). Some people want to give the site a good test drive before deciding whether or not to open a store. Individual listings on WP are CHEAP to do. There are probably hundreds of reasons why people sell on a site without opening a store. How many people do you think sell on eBay without having an eBay store? Nearly every one of your so-called facts has been nothing more than a grossly misguided opinion.

Items searchable within the site are ITEMS FOR SALE, are they not? From store owners AND non-store owners.
