Smileywelcome

Quote:Hi, I just closed my store on WP thanks to the great detective work all of you have done.  I had a bad gut feeling and should have pulled out sooner.

I don't think you will be sorry, Sweet Girl. Waggleflop would only have wasted your time.

OK, I was nosing around the WP site tonight and have a few questions:

1) As others have mentioned, where they heck are they getting the 100K figure for listings?

2) I see absolutely NO sign of anyone (wearing an official WP hat) other than CCKaren/Ray around the place.    Say they get this bulk importer up and running at the end of the month . . . are they even close to having the hardware/software/manpower to handle a bunch of new listings?  I mean . . . browsing around this evening, the site, at times, was slow as shit.    If a couple of the mega media sellers decided to take Ray up on the $10 a month thing, the listing numbers could quadruple or more . . . basically overnight.  Karen says, of course, that they are up to the task, but their projections also say that they are ahead of their 2007 projections.

I have a copy of your great avatar on my PC.  Been there for at least 5 years after my skillful theft.  8) I'd like an explanation, please, on how you were able to thieve it!  That's my pic, I tell you...MY PIC!!  :Smile  Tongue

Edited to add:  I think you'll be glad you can look at WP on the outside now, as a sorta masochistic form of entertainment, instead of being involved in it as a place to throw away your hard-earned dollars and angst generator.  Welcome to TT! Smile

Vital
Go for it.
I tried and not a single sale from an outside buyer. I had two sales, both were tests from other store owners who now lost feedback because I left.  I spent my $20 for two months and lots of time listing.... ???

I want to mention this because I really think it is odd.  Over the last year on Ebay I only got maybe 1 or 2 spoof emails.  After I joined WP I was getting 2-3 a week.  Right after I ended my store and paid I got another one.  So I asked my friend who is also a seller on WP if she noticed more spoof emails after joining WP.  She said thinking back, yes she uses a separate email address for WP and Ebay and she is also averaging 1-2 spoofs a week.  I don't know if it is related or not but wanted to bring that up.

Good bye all
