Now Brian is going to open his own auctionsite.Who's to say it won't turn out exactly like WP ONE at this point

Wagglepop One used Rainworx software and the major shortcomings of the software were one of the primary factors in the site being forced to close.  The script can't handle traffic or a large number of listings (it couldn't even handle 10,000 listings without slowing to a crawl). The script's failures were well documented in literally hundreds of Wagglepop One OTWA/FAS posts...and yet, apparently someone didn't bother to read those posts.

I read the thread on WPSSU about the planned auction site and I immediately recognized the feature list for one of the scripts Brian posted as being Rainworx :blinkie:

Below are the features of one of the possible 2 software choices we have again I'm waiting on another. Feel free to ask me any questions there is some I can' reveal as to stratagies but I plan to change the whole look of online auction industry. I will not boost to ever be a compeitive as Ebay this quote by any auction website is really not reality. We do however feel that we can make a mark and a presents to the OAI that will get looked at and then copied by many but we were the first remember this. Question are open to the floor.

Ray learned two things from Wagglepop One that Brian would be well advised to learn: stay away from Rainworx and never use Windows servers with an auction site (Ray was told to stay away from Windows servers BEFORE he announced WP 1 and he was foolish enough not to listen.).

No offense Brian, but at the moment your planned site is looking exactly like Wagglepop One.

I'm just curious Brian, what experience do you have with servers, infrastructure, etc (Ray had virtually no experience with these things when he started WP One which is why he made the software/infrastructure mistakes he did).

UserID I will have to disagree with the bolded part of your statement. Ray enforces his forum rules with a very personal agenda. He has deleted posts that were not violating his own forum rules. He allowed abusive and derogatory posts directed towards other members to remain. He has banned an entire account for much less than what you are accusing Brian of doing.
Ray not only has plenty of time to police his site, he does it regularly, daily, and without hesitation. The problem has always been what defines "problem behavior". In Ray's mind and those who vehemently support him, anyone who asks legitimate questions, or disagrees with him are deleted.

Ray wanted to make a point very loud and clear to Brian that he is in charge, it's his show, true to form for Ray's narcissistic personality, which allows no one to get more attention than they do, even if the attention is negative.

Again userid your issue is more about your anger at Brian than WP, so please take it up with him, and don't use this thread for a personal agenda.

Cool That is what I love feedback and thanks BBH I was looking at Beyond Solutions Which is cold Fushion. I was told by many that the rainworx was a solid version 4.5 I speak of are you talking about 4.5 See this is the great thing about TT you get results and help something I admire and I would love to ask you BBH BTW no offense taken your trying to help me and as far as user391 i don't think there in the auction market to run one I mean. I've been wrong before, so never say never. BBH what would you reccomend i'm asking if you have better knowledge and want to help sellrs what do you suggest as I want to have a great site for seller to be on?
