Quote:YOHB, Of course it was a result of my original post - don't be bashful. But scoop was just one of many who came on in support of it and the fact that scoop was first has no bearing whatsoever on the general opinion. I credit many of our fellow TTers as being able to think for themselves. I call that common ground or if you prefer, a shared opinion. This was one point where scoop and I agreed although they are few and far between. Once upon a time these ex-sellers were the blood and guts of WP. They built it's temporary popularity. They helped me greatly when I was there bestowing knowledge and friendship that I retain today with some of them. I know they don't need me as a champion on their behalf but I could not let such cavalier words go unchallenged. When PS starts showing the sensitivity to others that she yearns to receive personally then I'll back down. With take, you have to learn to give. Truth I admire you greatly but you are running hot and cold here today and I'm getting a bit confused. You can bash scoop but the rest of us should be taken to task for bashing PS? I don't understand. Help me out here please.
YOHB, Did I miss something here? I would like to know what scoop's intensions are just like the rest of the TT posters. It seems to me scoop has done nothing but flame TT posters and people from other forum's since she has been posting on TT. If she has an opinion let's hear it. I have heard nothing from scoop to clarify who she is, what she wants out of WP or what she doesn't want out of WP. Yes it was your original post that started the bash fest of powerseller. I don't believe your intensions were to be as damaging as they were to powerseller, I know you are not like that and most TT posters are not either. What happened to powerseller because of a post on another forum (WP) should never have been taken as far as it was in this forum. The same thing that happened to powerseller in this forum has happened to many of us in the WP forum's. I am sorry if you don't or can't see it the way I see it but what happened damaged a seller probably beyond repair. It doesn't matter if she is right or wrong but how far it was taken was out of line. I thought we didn't want to cause any harm to the WP sellers. I still feel that is the case but watching that unfold was shameful. Nobody should have to go through what powerseller went through this past weekend. Since when is TT a court of law based on opinions? Powerseller and I have had or issues in the past and still do today. I don't agree with the post that she made in the WP forum but since when do we play judge, jury and so on. She gave an explanation and that is where it should have been left. I understand there are stong feelings against powerseller and things can be taken too far. This time it was taken way too far. Scoop provoked this through her post, the rest followed suit under false pretenses. I understand why the rest followed but from what I can see powerseller was treated as we were on WP. I'm sorry that is not the way I wish to treat people. You can flame me all you want for saying so but I see it that powerseller was bashed for some stupid mistake she made in the WP forums. Put yourself in her place and think of how you would feel. I have been there before as most of you have. It's a place called wagglepop where the flaming never ends. Scoops post lite a fire that everyone that joined in warmed themselves to. Scoop has been confrontational ever since she has been posting on TT. Be it Brian, April, Me or powerseller. Scoop has other motives, I see those other motives and so should the rest of you. Take my karma if you want I don't care. Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Ok,....I am not going to the grand re- re-reopening. I need to shave my legs that night, :blinkie:
Now, this is most likely be my last post, but I can't guarantee that statement. One of the things that I have learned about posting on forums and reading others words; people say things that they normally would not if they had to look the person they are referring to in the face. There has been so much bashing lately that I am appalled and embarassed to even be part of this thread. I didn't come here to bash people. I came here to have a dialog about WP and share my experience, laugh with new found friends and let others know that they are welcome here to do the same. That is not what is happening here anymore. A couple of posters are quick to jump on statements and twist them. Heck, people don't even get a chance to say much more than, "I still sell on WP" and their posts are jumped all over. STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For this very reason I stopped asking questions on WP. I was tired of getting attacked for asking questions, legitimate questions. How can I post here if I know that a couple of people are going to twist my words and turn on me at anytime? How can anyone come here and feel safe about posting their thoughts, experiences and reasons for staying at or leaving WP? Remember when we read a post we cannot see the face of the writer, do not feel the intent nor do we have the same luxury as we do when talking face-to-face to immediately ask a clarifying question and have civil conversation. Think before you attack, reread the post, ask simple questions that do not put the writer on the defensive and most important, put yourself in the posters shoes. We were all new here once...... I am going to clarify my post: I will still be reading here, but will not post unless I really feel like it. There are a bunch of great people here that I really like and enjoy chatting with and there are a couple I want to send to the naughty chair. Smile when writing posts, read a couple of times to be sure you understand and if you don't, ask a clarifying question. It is ok to disagree, it is ok to offer opinions.......it is not ok to stand on your soapbox and yell at others and accuse. Stepping off my soapbox and going to make a pot of coffee, kick off my shoes and watch SpongeBob Good night.... :turkey2:
Good bye all
Enjoy your freedom Use it well |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sweet,
That is why I posted my follow up to scoop. I was afraid that my words had been misinterpreted. I don't want you to go. I have to admit, I did not appreciate PS's remark. However, I realize that it must be a maturity issue. I love some of the sellers still on WP. They are great people. I will not, however, be censored here. If there is a misunderstanding, I think each person has the right to ask and answer questions and respond as they see fit. We all need to leave our anger (except that directed at Ray) at the door. However, that being said, if someone makes a post that another finds offensive or questions, the poster must be ready to clarify and - yes - defend their position.
I hate stupid people!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sweet
Wow I just caught up reading. Good post Sweet BTW. It is obvious there are strong emotions flowing back and forth here. There is also way too much anger being projected onto other people. There are very strong personalities at work here, and I guess a clash was bound to happen. We are all not going to agree on every single point. Scoop, PS, and others have posted their opinions here, as have we. To my knowledge none of their posts, or our responses have been deleted. That is a major difference between this thread and the forums at WP. I do not fully agree or fully disagree with the posts made my scoop and PS. I am sure they would say the same thing about my posts as well. It's called debate. Truth I make up my own mind, I decipher information, I analyze, evaluate, and formulate an opinion. I do not claim to be right, I make mistakes, I am accountable for my words, and I take full responsibility for myself. Just like Sweet said posting in a forum is tricky because you cannot see the other person, you might interpret something as an insult when the person's intention was humor. You might offend someone and not even realize it. Posts get misinterpreted, that is unfortunate, but unavoidable sometimes. Even when I disagree with my fellow TT'ers I still respect all of you because we all have more in common than we do different. This is really true of all people no matter where you meet them. Call it common ground, even if that ground is simply that we are all human beings who need to be loved, and give love back, to know that we matter in this world, that we have a purpose. Peace Out |

OT but I sold 2 items on ecrater that were in my higher price category. In one case the person contacted me via ebay, where I don't have any items for sale, about an item I did have on ebay quite awhile ago. I emailed him, yada yada, he bought it on ecrater, no fees, SWEET. Woohoo.
Now back to the grand re re re re opening gala. I am going to borrow a diva gown from Fine. The one with rhinestones, and tons of bling. |

Oh man...you guys are dressing up??
Well...I guess I can put on that tiny mini skirt with the see-through blouse that's made of lace...thigh high black shiny boots with the cheap diamond looking rhinestones going up the boots, deep blood red lipstick, huge hoop earrings, lacy nearly ~ nothing ~ there gloves that go to your elbow, and a little fake fur stole. Now this is the reason I don't go out. I'm never dressed right!!! People tell me I look like a 10 cent hooker in this get up! If I'm going... I need a fashion diva to help me out here. |

I have disagreed with you and I did disagree with the post that PS did it does not mean I diagreed with every post she has done. I have said negative things about 2 people from another forum as you put it. But that's because you keep insisting on bringing the two of them into this thread. While you tell everyone else they are not the subject of this thread. So I gave my opinion on what I think of them. As to what I want or don't want from WP I also gave a very clear opinion about how I feel about WP in one of my post.
The point that I wanted to make with scoop (and I realize that I did not do it well) is that any seller who leaves, for whatever reason, you simply cannot say that WP is better without them. I, as well as many others here, posted angry comments when we were ridiculed or asked valid business questions. Yes, we had words with some sellers that are still there. BUT, we still wish them well. I remember very well when one of those sellers started selling. She was extremely helpful and valuable to not only WP (in sales and listing), but to others who needed help. No, I have never met her, not have I had any outside conversation with her. When the other seller had his disagreement with Ray, I was long gone. I laughed at his devotion to WP. I ridiculed his offer to build the website to help promote WP sellers - AT HIS OWN EXPENSE. He was a valuable resource to the WP community - until he worked to advertise off Ray's site, therefore out of the reach of his censorship. I think these two individuals would be an asset to any site, considering the time and talent they exhibited at WP (any personal feuds not withstanding). That was my point and why I did not understand yours scoop.
FineThings4U I can respect that is your opinion of these two individuals. Maybe you didn't understand why I made that statement. So I will rephrase it and then try to explain. My opinion is any site would be better off without these two sellers. I base that statement on what my opinion is of these two individuals. It has nothing to do with their reasons for leaving or anything like that. I have never put anyone down based on the choice they make to stay or go. It's what I think of their character the type of people they are. Based on what I saw them do to other sellers on this site you say he started to help other sellers. When some of those sellers voiced concerns about WP OMG you would have thought they committed an act of treason they did not have a 100% positive attitude about WP. The other seller we speak of well she went right along with him. In his rage over what he saw as an act of treason he went to the WP boards posted the names of the sellers who he had now banned from his forum and said how they had been bashing WP. What type of person does that? Then what he saw as WP siding with the sellers he had banned by pulling all his threads. The next day he was now against WP. Then he upset even more people when he showed his so called proof as to what happened a lot of them saw right through that. Then he upset even more people when he deleted threads he posted but left threads that they did and invited others to join. Those poster are mad because he didn't delete their threads too before inviting others. Now I hear that others are upset with him because while he said his forum is now for sellers at any venue and he would still help WP sellers. They see that in the next breath he is bashing WP some of them are still very positive about WP so that did not sit well with them. I know this was long but I just wanted to try and explain why I made that statement. |

So what is everyone wearing to the Grand Opening ceromony? Formal? Casual? Clothing optional? :blinkie:
Can I vote for casual? Like jeans with holes in the knees, flannel shirt with a button or two missing at navel level, socks with toe holes in them, running shoes that are discoloured and cracked sporting frayed laces... Hey, that's the best of my wardrobe!!
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.
