NOW I am really mad!!!

This is the reply:
PayPal payments are processed on specific dates of the month, as staffing allows.

I'm simply going to send this for collection.

Childish retaliation for store closings isn't a good way to generate positive word of mouth about the site :Smile

Quote:when it was apparantly so difficult fo "staff" the acceptance of a payment.

That software has PayPal IPN and the ability to automatically record user payments. It can also accept payments by Credit Card, ACH (bank account transfer)

That's RAY talking!!  Big Grin ;D ;D

...as staffing allows... Happy001  Further proof there's no one but Ray at the PC!

I would write back:

"Go ahead and send it for collection.  You'll lose whatever percentage the collector will take as his cut.  But, if you don't want to lose those funds, please let me know what the 4-day range is wherein your staff will claim the payment, and I will resubmit the payment just prior to that date.

Very Truly Yours,
Smarter than You Are"

That leaves you on the HIGH side of things.  No point lowering yourself to his level.

Edit to add:  I know, I know.  The other way is much more fun........

My reply would have read:

Dear Karen; Please advise as to what the name of the collection agency will be so I can advise my staff what return address to look for. We receive quite a volume of mail daily and I would not like to have the letter overlooked.  Please respond promptly so I can include the information in tomorrow mornings company newsletter. I look forward to hearing from you...
Thank you... Icon_blackeye
