Can anyone - Former Popper or Current Popper - post a list of things that have actually been implemented? Such as things that have been requested by the Sellers? Things that have been promised by Karen over the past few months? Seriously. I really want to know. ???
I could be wrong (it's been known to happen :o ) but I don't think any new things that sellers have specifically asked for have been implimented? I think what happens is sellers start asking for this change and that change and then some unasked piddly little change happens and gets everyone believing actual revisions for the better are either happening or just right around the corner about to happen? |
I know this isn't the point you were making, but it struck me -- an emergency meeting about a MY WP page??
Ummmm... ok, I know its important for the sellers to have a navigable page, but an emergency meeting? When their Alexa rankings and store count appear to be in free fall status and their genius marketing blitz is such an obvious miserable failure?
It seems to me this is one of those piddly little changes that usually cause applause and back-fired. This change didn't get the expected 'way to go WP!' from anyone. And really, this is not, or should not be a priority! The priority is to get people to the site to support the sellers that are supporting WP. But, fulfilling that priority takes actual work, not just some tinkering to switch the look around. I know I got tired of pretending to be happy about some of the revisions to the site - get the site up and running, get customers coming through, and then do the little design tweaks. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I can't seem to find it when I try to use the insert quote feature, but fine said a few pages back that poppers were asking for a new invoicing tool , so as not to "cheat" by invoicing through paypal. Why would this be considered "cheating"? Are we not supposed to do this for some stupid reason? I invoice through paypal regularly. Too many people have a hard time figuring out a WP invoice. Also, these invoices are screwy. You get them set how you want to and them when you hit send, crazy things happen. Yesterday, I had a customer buy one thing. My sold email said he bought one thing. My transactions history said he bought one thing (I always check because I don't want to get overcharged). When I sent him an invoice, it doubled it and said he bought two things. I had to cancel it and send him a Paypal invoice. Maybe this is one way of making the sales look higher, I don't know, but I am sick of all of WP "glitches".

Things that make you go hmmmmmm:
#1 Quote:From Wgglepop today: How, pray tell, does Ray intend to double the listings and store count in the SAME MONTH? OK, the guy can walk on water, but really, now! AND, actual store count 3/13/2006: 313 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #2 On 1/18/2007, there was a grand proclamation and lots of rah, rah and hoopla about opening up buying registration to several countries in Europe, plus Japan, Australia and New Zealand. However, the recent Alexa report shows NO TRAFFIC whatsoever coming from ANY (NOT ONE) of the new markets. Instead, WP shows 4% traffic coming from Croatia, Mexico, Turkey and Philippines, none of which are in the supposed "expanded" buying markets, and all of which are known for harboring scammers. Conclusion: The expansion into new markets was meaningless. The overseas marketed efforts (if indeed there were any) are worthless, and may possibly have a negative effect by exposing sellers to more scammers. And WP is a business? NOT! |

I had almost forgotten about the big expansion. What a crock. I have to go disconnect my router. WP isn't loading....

Did WP crash or something? I haven't been able to get the site to load correctly yet today and now it won't load at all. I don't understand and the weather has nothing to do with it.
