Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Well,
I'm in a sharing kind of mood today. Because I have chosen to use my selling name as my posting name, I couldn't sell a bottle of water to a dying man in the desert. I had fully intended to return to WP after I left. I had hoped that, with time, things would work out. They didn't. I lurked here for many months before my first post. I knew what I was doing when I used this name to post. I put it all on the line. Many poppers who sell on other venues have sent me some very nice private messages just to let me know that I have been effectively blacklisted in the online sales community. I am nothing but a troublemaker and a liar according to them. They would not ever refer a buyer to any of my stores. I don't give shit. I don't do this for a living. This is a hobby for me (and a badly needed tax deduction). For those who have chosen to shun me for telling the truth - I know you lurk here. I don't care. Your beloved Wagglepop is down to 312 stores. They can't keep a server running and they lie every day. If that's how you choose to do business, so be it. You have to live with your conscience. Keep lining Ray's pockets forever. I, for one, have no regrets. I am happy and have made many friends. I've never stooped to a pity buy nor a pity sale, so I feel good about that. I purchase from my friends here when I need something and expect nothing in return but excellent customer service, which I get every time. So, to our newest ex-poppers, it only gets better from here. You keep moving forward and your hard work will be rewarded! Be sure to post a link when you have your new venue.
I hate stupid people!

The quote below is a review that has been posted on the alexa site for WP:
Quote:This site claims The Revolution has arrived. And they ask you to join the Revolution. What Revolution? :-) I haven't seen any... :-) spent about $100.00 for their commision fees, thats all... very sad... They should call themselves Hosting Site - not an Auction Site. I don't know who did the review but kudos to the reviewer!!! let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

I'm not sure if this is totally acurate but here is my prediction for the new 3 month average alexa rank for WP when it comes out later today:
71,411

Well, I'm in a sharing kind of mood today. Because I have chosen to use my selling name as my posting name, I couldn't sell a bottle of water to a dying man in the desert.
:blinkie: Well now this just is a post to brighten my day Fine! I chose to post in my business name because I'm not ashamed of the choice I made to leave WP. I, as well as you, hoped one day it would take a turn for the good and I would go back - loved the sellers there and it was hope of a nice place to call 'biz home'. I, as well as you, got a nice reality slap and realized nothing there would ever take a turn for the better. Since I have no plans to ever go back there, I don't feel intimidated about possible repercussions of using my biz name to post everywhere - WP doesn't need to boot me out, I've left and have no regrets or meandering hopes left for it. I don't try for pity sales and don't buy out of pity either. I buy because a seller offers what I need or want when I need or want it. If the transaction is a good one and I got what I paid for, I'll shop again when the need/want arises. I don't care personally which venue you choose to set up business at; if you're a good business person - that's what matters. I would hope that most see things this way? Sad if they don't - they're cutting themselves out as well. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Moon, Fine, you are both right. Since we are in a confessing mood I'll toss my story in. I found TT before I had decided to leave WP. I lurked, read voraciously and looked for my own proof of the claims being made here. I didn't have to look far. But until I was clear of WP I was petrified of possible retribution if I revealed who I really was. So I understand how many of our latest members feel and empathize with their need for a different identity. That sense of release doesn't settle in until you are 100% quit of WP. I wanted to be part of this community to ask questions but I didn't feel good about doing so openly. Unlike you both, I had no intentions of ever going back however I do share your respect for the honest, hard-working sellers still affiliated with WP.
I'm known as sherrand everywhere else on the net except here. I'd love to change my ID on TT but I don't think it is allowed without starting over as a newbie. For all the lurkers who sign up with an identity, true or false, I realize it is so you can interact with the members without the threat of fallout from doing so. We all know KaRay reads this board on a regular basis. And I tip my hat to all of you who step into what appears to be the lion's den. I hope more lurkers find the courage to follow suit.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

But until I was clear of WP I was petrified of possible retribution if I revealed who I really was. So I understand how many of our latest members feel and empathize with their need for a different identity.
I remember you! You know - this speaks VOLUMES! We (and I mean no one) owes WP any loyalty at all - it's suppose to be a business - if it does right by you, wonderful - if not, move on. No one should ever feel coy about asking SIMPLE business questions! No one should sit and wonder "Do I ask? Don't I ask? Will I get bashed for asking? Will I get booted?" No one should feel that way, and yet, somehow, WP makes most feel that way! Since WP is a charging for space venue to sell from, WP OWES the sellers - not the other way around. And for some reason, sellers are made to believe they owe WP. I don't believe WP appreciates the seller base it has - with those that have been there and who are still there, WP could do well... but not WP management, only the sellers are true business people in my eyes and WP is taking advantage trying to get rich or get monthly bills paid by using people. The sellers are the base still keeping WP going - and WP just doesn't get that without them, they have no income either. Small of a business I am, I realize this. I bend over backwards to treat my customers right and see that they're happy -- WP spouts a lot, shows nothing and expects sellers to remain happy there - and when they're not, or just want to know something, anything, to give them some encouragement, they get slapped. It's just sad. |
