WP policy for PM
Quote:The Wagglepop Private Messaging System is provided to give members an easy way to communicate when trading. This policy alone is proof that Ray does read the PM's or how else would he know if the PM was in so called violation. Once again these so called policies don't explain the multiple PM's that have been deleted or intercepted. |

Thanks banana :bananasoccer: I was looking for that. You sniped me.
Post went poof! Looks like yyna has been banned. Her name is blacked out. Surprised it didn't happen sooner but Karay has been too busy reading emails. The typeface on his 'delete' key must be worn off by now! Correct me if I'm wrong but he's really been too busy to drop in and hand out kool-aid today. Anyone see any CCI posts? Of course Karay's been busy but couldn't Christine or Andrew pick up the ball and keep the troops moral up? Oh, silly me, of course you can't teach a guinea pig how to type.

This policy alone is proof that Ray does read the PM's or how else would he know if the PM was in so called violation. Once again these so called policies don't explain the multiple PM's that have been deleted or intercepted. [/quote] Yes, I'm aware of the monitoring system, and I know Ray does read the messages. BUT 1) If I were an attorney, I would challenge the whole PM policy. I think it's bogus and unconstitutional, and I don't believe it would be held up in a court of law. Private messages are "private" messages. They are not part of any public forum, and unless criminal activity is suspected, or at least one of the messengers is employed by the company, there is no reason for Ray or any third party to be monitoring them without consent and authorization. Even eBay's smart enough to avoid this POTENTIAL SUIT trap. Although solicitations to sell items off eBay through private messaging is against policy, it DOES NOT monitor PMs, but rather relies on members to report violations, which then gives them authorization to investigate. 2) The list of restrictions is very arbitrary. What is an "adult picture"? Me in a bathing suit? Is "Hello, how are you, is your little daughter still peeing in the potty" a violation, since it has no relation to trading on WP? What is profane? (beek jerky?) What is "disruptive"? 3) I would also argue that the word "post" is NOT appropriate for private messaging. This term applies to open discussions on public forums. The private messaging is just that, PRIVATE! 4) What's the point of even having a private messaging system, if all "posts" (bogus and inappropriate word) are to be read before forwarding to see if they only contain pompoms, prayers and kumbayas. HOW TOTALLY RIDICULOUS IS THAT? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Alskling, dead on again. I was wondering about his use of the word post. Those are the same policies he has for the forum. The policy would also have to state that PM are monitored. You have to state that in your policies. His interception of PM's from a buyer to a seller is business interference because the seller had no idea that their PM's were read and responded to by Ray. How can the seller conduct a transaction if these emails are randomly hijacked?
Let's ask BBH or Regic about the legality. TT has a PM system in place, maybe they would know. |

Ray is off the boards today trying to come up with a major BS campaign to keep the poppers from bolting. He is also creating some more stores to get the store count back up. :bturtle: :popcorneaters: |

yyna I couldn't believe the nerve of that person who wanted you to sell your items for pennies. I am so glad you posted that great response. Ray will use any underhanded method he can come up with to double bill, and make threats of collection. |
