WAGGLEFACT OF THE DAY
Quote: chocolatesos wrote: Quote:Truth wrote: "I truely believe we are going to have to start a class action suit against WP." The wagglefact above only explains part of how WP damages a seller. The continued spamming through the form of SEO of listings that are no longer supposed to be there is fraud. We all know he has the abillity to remove all listings but he choses not to. See the blacked out item #'s that have been showing up recently from recent sales as shown when viewing feedback. GTC listings should not remain active if your store has been terminated. Further more if you are no longer registered wherever your former user ID shows up (feedback etc.) should also contain a phrase such as no longer registered. By chosing not to include that phrase it makes it seem that the site is all hunky dory. That also hurts the buyers and lures new sellers if they don't do there research. chocolatesos, It seems you have done your research and have avoided WP as a venue for you. Congrats to you! However when I check your profile it is a little more unclear as to if you were a seller on WP. Great Wagglefact Truth
It seems to me many of the sellers there aren't considering time as an expense. It wasn't the $60.00 I handed over (I actually had enough sales to cover that), it was the ridiculous amount of time spent. Worth much more than $60.00 and not covered by my sales. Glad you posted that again, hopefully it's read and digested by some Poppers still sitting on the fence!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
YOHB --
Thanks for setting me straight on Okla Mama. Since we rarely mention names of the posters, I probably mistook one for the other. I was objecting to sending Christmas cards, just because I believe business and religion should be separate, like Church and State. It doesn't really offend me all that much, since there's nothing Christian about Christmas anyway. I do get perturbed by "business" people putting those dopey fish signs and "God Bless Yous" on all correspondence, etc. I don't need anybody's blessings, just good service. YOHB -- Again, your research and analysis of SCL is wonderful. I, too, found the feedback incredulous and did some research on him and came up with similar theories, albeit I had not gone as far as you did. There is no doubt he is buying his own charms between stores -- nothing illegal, but certainly unethical and deceptive -- he fits right in with KaRay WP-think. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, on to this piece of jabber: Quote:Hello Members, Quote:For others saying there are "no buyers" it's like saying the earth has a little water. Talk about ridiculous WTF analogies. "No buyers" means "no buyers" -- not for everybody, just WP sellers. If you're out in the middle of the Sahara Desert, there is no water. There may be water someplace, but not for you. Boinktard! I wouldn't call that "opportunity." Quote:The dynamic of "listing and waiting", and paying a venue huge costs of participation for exposure such as eBay is yesterday's 20th century ecommerce thinking. There we go with "dynamic" again. This is one of KaRay's favorite words -- like most, it looks impressive but has no meaning here. Dynamic refers to change, so to follow it with "listing and waiting", shows an incorrect use of the word. All commerce is "listing and waiting", you idiot, unless you can somehow control the world and force peoples' hands. Sellers can't force a sale. They're always waiting. At least if your items are seen, the chances are better someone will come along who fancies your item. All of sales is a numbers game. Few sellers I know mind paying for exposure if they get results. Quote:Listing combined with smart marketing can be just as effective. As effective as what? And what do you mean by "smart marketing?" Is not paying for exposure when you get results "smart marketing?" This statement further supports my contention that WP has no intention of advertising -- period. It's not WP's job. If the sellers aren't getting action it's simply their fault due to ineffective marketing. More blah, blah from Waggleland. |

616 stores...even DRM/Lure over at Auctiva seems to be a little less enthusiastic these days about WP's prospects.
