This is one of the MAJOR REASONS why I had NO INTEREST in Eweay. If you're that evangelical about what you sell, what you sell is probably not worth a carp. |

WP sales report Quote:Period Multiple Item Sales Unique Sales Total Sales Can anyone say FUDGE? let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network [/quote] I've always wondered about those numbers. We already know he double counts to get higher listing numbers. Since absolutely nothing can be verified, how do we know that he isn't including the multiple sale number again in the unique sale number? According to his logic it would make sense, after all. Edited to add: Does anyone with a knowledge of RScript know how these numbers get pulled - do the stats show multiple vs. unique or are these manual calculations?

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Thanks for all the welcomes, everyone. This seems like a great place, and a good resource. I'm an ebay seller, looking to gradually build up my own website, initially for "add on" sales to those I make on ebay. I have the domain, have the hosting, next I need the shopping cart... and some spare time!
I watched the implosion of WP1 closely on OTWA, it made me feel ill, reading some of the garbage Ray was spewing. I can't believe anyone would read that old thread and still think WP2 has any sort of future. JoJo |

Quote:Edited to add: Does anyone with a knowledge of RScript know how these numbers get pulled - do the stats show multiple vs. unique or are these manual calculations? The demo shows number of bids, but the only way I could find to get number of sales is to review the weekly transaction history (which includes all listings, FVFs, etc.) and count the number of FVF entries (and then try to determine if the FVF was part of a multi item sale). Going through 150,000+ weekly transactions would take a while. They could be using phpmyadmin to download the transaction table and then using a spreadsheet to pull the numbers. Either way it seems a little time consuming.
