Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I really don't understand why you keep bashing Ray. There are things I don't like about Waggelpop but I think it's best kept to myself rather then complain about and blame someone else for your not able to make any money there. I couldn't make any money at ebay. Too many fees to sell low price items there. I belive that Waggelpop did not let you down. You failed because of your own actions and many of the complaints that were being posted on the boards that your complaing about now. I belive that if Walmart Ass. started to bash Walmart on their Website would be big time censorship. It's one thing to close up shop and move on. But it is another thing to live your life complaining about past mistakes of yours. I'm sure if you were all past Wagglepoppers you went into it knowing you would not see any profit for many years. Get on with your lives and quit worrying about what happening at Wagglepop.

Quote: you went into it knowing you would not see any profit for many years. I've never been a Waggleray seller but...why would any seller in their right mind go into something if they knew they wouldn't "see any profit for many years" when there are plenty of other selling options where sellers can and do show profits? :blinkie: Not seeing a profit for many years might be an option for someone who likes to pretend they have a business (i.e. nonprofessional "sellers" who don't need the money and are just selling as a fun hobby to relieve the boredom of everyday life), but it's not an option for any of us who rely on our online sales for all of our income (or for those who need the money to pay their bills). Quote:not able to make any money there. So far I haven't seen anyone who is making any real money at Wagglepop. I've seen a couple of people post here who said they've made "hundreds" but that's not exactly what I'd call making money...and it's definitely not enough for full time sellers (i.e. people whose only income is their online sales) to waste their time at Wagglepop
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

Quote:I'm sure if you were all past Wagglepoppers you went into it knowing you would not see any profit for many years. I don't remember seeing that warning on the smartsell pro signup page. I am sure most of the sellers would not have signed up if they knew that was the case. Quote:Get on with your lives and quit worrying about what happening at Wagglepop. I see you are assuming that we are all ex-poppers. Some of us still have stores there and we have every right to be concerned about what is going on in Wagglepop land.

Quote:I belive that Waggelpop did not let you down. You failed because of your own actions and many of the complaints that were being posted on the boards that your complaing about now. The posters here sir have failed at nothing. They are intelligent, hardworking, successful businesspeople. Unlike a situation in which you find yourself as an employee working for a boss who is rude, arrogant, and unethical, your options might be very limited. Making a decision whether or not to sell on wagglepop is entirely different. In fact the burden of proof falls on the site owner. Every seller has a right to ask tough business questions, and they also deserve an answer. Instead when the tough questions are asked, the seller's posted question gets deleted. When you close your store on Ebay you can not only post it, but give your reasons why including complaining about sales, etc... Ebay doesn't place your declaration of store closure buried into the netherworld, nor do they delete those posts. Quote:I belive that if Walmart Ass. started to bash Walmart on their Website would be big time censorship. Let me use Ebay as an example. Is it appropriate to go to the Ebay boards and spew out a string of curse words on their forum, and openly criticize them? Would that constitute Ebay bashing? Yes it certainly would. Ray did that on several occasions. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
So far, the biggest waste of time I've had here is trying to explain why we think Ray's a boinktard and his site's a cultist scam to Toys and PS. They enjoy living near a river in Egypt (denial) and paying homage to King Raymon Tut.
What I find a real mystery is why THEY would want to waste THEIR time coming on the boards here to defend this boinktard and his non-business venture. They could answer no questions put before them, addressed none of the facts (which they call "bashing"), and like Ray himself, are obviously in the Waggle game as part of Ray's big "neener" campaign against eBay, the nasty Goliath of the e-commerce world. I, for one, NEVER went into WP "KNOWING" I would not see a profit for years, and anybody who does is either an IDIOT or someone who doesn't need to make a living through on-line sales. Like PS and Toys, I "made money" on WP, but it was no where near making a living, and most CERTAINLY NOT worth the time, energy and money I had to invest when there were plenty of options offering the same, if not better results for less time and energy and no financial investment. Apart from that, associating myself with a known con artist who ran his site like a cultist, facsist, incestuous dictatorship was not my idea of how e-commerce needs to be in order to flourish in a free, open, democratic business society. This environment alone is the kiss of doom for WP because it alienates everyone outside the "inner circle" and eventually results in stagnation and death as control increases, the noose tightens and the movement strangles itself. We are here spending our time, because we don't want good, honorable, hard-working, ethical sellers WHO NEED TO MAKE A LIVING ON-LINE to waste theirs. And the only way any business person can make informed decisisions is to be presented with ALL THE FACTS, which NOBODY ever gets nor ever will get on WP. Good luck PS and Toys. Believe me, and the rest of us here, when we say you're going to need it. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
E-bay is and has been a sore subject for me, they take and take and do not give a crap about the sellers who help build that company. They pushed out many good sellers with all their fee hikes. Its not worth listing anything over their unless you are going to make at least a $20 profit. Lets talk customer service. Dec. 13th I had a bunch of my listings just disappear! No e-mail from safe harbor, not one word on why these listing just magically disappeared. Sold listing as well as current listings. My sold amount was at $4500+ and then it was showing a sold amount of $2400+ for the past 30 days. First thing I did was get on live help. After waiting almost an hour I got some idiot that could not explain what happened. I e-mailed e-bay safe harbor and another department. I have still not heard back from them, I get my invoice and they are charging me for all these listings plus their are double charges on items I only sold once. I had 2 buyers open paypal disputes because even though I could prove I shipped their item they got a letter from e-bay that their listing was removed and told that they would not receive their item. This one UK buyer was up in arms because when she checked her tracking number for her package it was showing the package sent on August 4th out of Boston, I live in NY. Come to find out paypal/usps is recycling the postal codes online. I sent her a copy of the stamped receipt, of course she was still leery, I would be too. She got her package yesterday (thank god) and apologized for doubting me, we can not even leave feedback for each other because the auction no longer exists. The other item was a PS3, e-bay was already riddled with fraud in that department could you imagine getting a letter form e-bay after you purchase a high ticket item like that saying you will no longer get your item???!!! That was solved quickly because he got it the next day. Again no feedback could be left. I had to send e-mails to a bunch of my customers explaining the situation and assuring them there purchases were on their way. I go to the boards to see if anyone could shed some light on the problems I was having and I get rude responses. Safe harbor must have removed them for listing violations, I try to explain that I never got an e-mail from them and I know my listings have nothing wrong with them; my shipping is all by weight, only $1.50 S/H charge. I dont key word spam, pictures were accurate, items were in the right category...I have been selling long enough to know the rules and have never had a listing pulled. You know how bad this screwed up my holiday sales???!!! I sent yet another letter to e-bay and still not one word; they sure want their money though.
I was dealing with all this crap and recovering from surgery. I started selling online when I got pregnant with my third child, me and my husband do not believe in letting daycares raise our kids. He has always been an avid toy collector so it was not hard for us to know what we were going to sell. He keeps up on all the latest toys and he knows what is highly collectable. Well my littlest one started kindergarten this year and I am going to start working again after the holidays, I can not take this crap with fee bay anymore. So now when I see all these nasty remarks about WP it ticks me off because this is where I work. This is the place I turned to when it was no longer cost effective to have a store on fee bay. They have treated me well. I get a response from customer service within hours or less. They treat me with respect and act like they care about my concerns. A nice change from e-bay. The best part about it all, last month I sold about $500-$550 ($400 of it being one item) worth of merchandise and I had a bill of only $36.10. Am I a WP cheerleader? Hell yes and proud of it |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Like I said, Toys and Ray are bound in brotherhood by their mutual disdain for eBay. Nobody here likes eBay, either, so stop with all the We're not impressed and you're wasting your time here. Silly TTers. We thought maybe you'd be interested in keeping your $35 and investigating alternatives where you wouldn't have to waste your time spamming for beloved Ray. But, we were wrong. Go back to your river.
Still no questions answered. |

See what I get when I try to explain why I am for Wp? You say
Silly TTers. We thought maybe you'd be interested in keeping your $35 and investigating alternatives where you wouldn't have to waste your time spamming for beloved Ray. But, we were wrong.
It is hard to get to any of the posts about alternatives when most of the board is riddled with insults about WP and the sellers there. You think I really want to take the advise of a group of people who waste so much time ripping on one little auction site and the owner of it. Have your little hate board. I am done here, to the ones that were welcoming, thank you and good luck in your businesses. |
