Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
WAGGLEFACT OF THE DAY
THE RED INK
Note all figures were taken from the WP all stores view as of 6PM today 12/27/06 with a total of 596 stores at the time. Stores with 50 or fewer items listed = 280 Total listings for those 280 stores = 4325 listings Minimum fees paid to WP = $2786.00 ($9.95 per month) Even more striking is this group below: Stores with 100 or fewer items listed = 357 Total listings for those 357 stores = 9982 listings which represents about 6.34% of all site wide listings as Ray states it on the WP homepage. Minimum fees paid to WP = $3552.15 ($9.95 per month) Average cost per listing based on those fees for this group = $0.36 per listing Now lets say the sell thru rate holds true for this group at 1% for any given month based on there listings at an average selling price of $9.99 That would put the sales for the month at $997.20 Fees paid $3552.15 - sales $ 997.20 --------------------- loss of $2554.95 for those 357 sellers ( please note the $9.99 price represents the highest starting price for a $0.35 listing on eBay I believe the average selling price to be much lower from this group on WP but for comparison reasons I went with that #. Also be aware that all figures dont account for other fees such as FVF ) Fact is some sellers have made a SMALL profit out of this group but you could probably count the sellers who have on one hand. The only person turning a profit every month is Ray (since July). By the way why would Ray allow feedback to be imported when he can collect FVFS from seller to seller purchases for feedback solicitation. He has it all figured out. There are many other rscript sites that allow feedback to be imported rather than scam people out of every nickel and dime. If anyone can dispute the numbers in this wagglefact I welcome the challenge. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:From our perspective, while eBay continues to spend *millions* of dollars on conventional advertising for eBay Express (print, TV, radio, etc.), the numbers we've referred to today clearly show that you cannot create demand with advertising; you can only reinforce it. I remember seeing this jewel from Karen and the spin on the Alexa report, contorted to make it appear WP got more traffic than eBay express by using misleading URLs. Problem is: 1) few at WP have a clue what Alexa is or how it relates to URLs. All they know is what Karen feeds them. They do not analyze it, nor have any desire to. 2) anybody with any brains at all knows eBay gets more traffic, no matter how you slice it, dice it, twist it or wring it. 3) it goes to show that WP cheerleaders will believe what they want to believe even if it flys in the face of reason. 4) cheerleaders never stop to think: if WP does get more traffic than eBay (as Karen says by her pumped up, bogus report), why does eBay have all the sales and WP have none? If what Karen says is true, then would not one conclude that Alexa ratings have no relation to sales? Then, why make a big deal of it and use it as an excuse NOT to advertise? HEY, POPPERS! Start thinking with another part of your anatomy! |

X-POP NATION, A real seller's network [/quote] We started listing at Tazbar tonite to test it out. Still don't see alot of US sellers but the site is very easy to use. I haven't been to the forums there yet though. Just started but from what I have seen so far the site works great. Seems like this could open up another market for us and many others. Right now we will take it slow to work out a few European conections I have. Look for us to be strong on Tazbar by the end of FEB. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." A new message from Karen. The bolding is mine.
Quote:Just a reminder that you'll notice quite a few changes, introductions, and launches over the next few weeks and all throughout the first quarter of 2007: Two interesting things. The drop in stores is possibly being explained as accounts being reviewed and closed by WP. Also note the expected dramatic increases in traffic . I wonder if this from the promised advertising which was suppose to start in the next week or so or due to expected Ebay fee hikes and the resulting seller exodus. Edited to add: Theres that faith word again.

I love the statement in the last quote. That is Ray's way of making it seem that all sellers who have left left because they didn't pay there monthly fees. Fact is most left out of there own free will because they figured out Ray's scam. The rest were terminated for asking smart business questions that Ray wouln't answer and still won't. How long do you think it will take for the total active stores to blow through the 500 mark? 700 & 600 happened in less then a month & 800 wasn't much longer. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Quote:Over the next two weeks, we will be conducting account-by-account reviews to ensure that the seller body we present to the public during the marketing integrations is reflective of our dedicated seller body as a whole. WTF are you talking about! In what way does the "seller body we (WP) present to the public" differ from "our dedicated seller body as a whole?" From what WP offers in listings, it would appear that the seller body presented to the public is one composed largely of trading cards, books, magazine ads and beads. Are you suggesting that these are the only "dedicated" sellers? And what are these "marketing integrations" and why only reflective "during"? Is this to mean that after the so-called "marketing integrations" are implemented, the seller body will NOT be reflective of the "dedicated" seller body AFTERWARDS? What happens then? And what does "account-by-account review" mean? Reviewing what? Wasn't that done already in the big WP "pay up or hit the bricks" and the "we don't like your posts so off with your head" campaign? POPPERS! Take a look at the "changes, introductions and launches" Do you see ANYTHING that will help bring BUYERS? anything AT ALL? Again, Karen, YOU MAKE ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE! Just more OH, AND YOU SELLERS IN CANADA AND UK TAKE NOTE: Remember when the "expansion of new locations" was announced? You may all have forgotten because it was buried in the , but the "expansion" comes at the price of instituting more registration "verification" procedures. I take that to mean that non-US sellers will not be welcome on WP unless they feel comfortable divulging an inordinate amount of personal and sensitive information and will not be considered part of the "dedicated seller body." Edit: By "body" maybe Karen really means "corpse" |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
TRUTH:
Great Wagglefact. I think the actual loss is much greater than your conservative figures show. Consider that 80 stores have 5 items or less with an average selling price of $8. Many have dozens of items for as little as 99 cents. Even at basic store subscription rates (one is a Showcase store costing $49.99/mo with only 3 items in inventory) the cost to these sellers per item is over $2/mo to list. Even if the acquisition costs were nothing, and they consider their time worthless, these store owners are losing money every month. Most show little or no FB, so few are making sales. What are these people thinking? I brought this up on the WP forums before I was excommunicated. Why not just rent a storage locker? You'd get just as much action for less money. OF course, I was met with carcastic remarks from SB, who seems to have tempered his cheers of late. WHAT'S THE MATTER, SCOTT? Did you get sick of chewing your toes? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
BeenThere
Another great Wagglefact, Truth I have to say that the only way to get answers is to ask questions. I know that Ray can run his playground anyway he likes, but when sellers who are honestly asking business related questions and are getting slapped for asking, is it a playground or a chamber of horrors? I did not post here to down Ray. I came here to expose the misinformation given and the downright lies told by the administrators of WP...whatever name they choose for the day. This was my first foray into the world of online selling and I guess I was lucky. I learned my lesson very quickly. Now, I am more informed and less gullible. To those that do well on WP - good for you. To those who question your decision or have questions in general, keep reading.
I hate stupid people!
