Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
FYI: One of my customers WAS CONTACTED by Karen via email WITHOUT my or her permission or foreknowledge, referring to a comment I made in a PM to her, so Karen saying she has no way of intercepting PMs is a lie. It was in specific reference to an item my client had purchased and we mutually agreed to cancel the transaction due to a problem beyond either of our controls. Karen contacted my buyer to "check up" on my story. My buyer was very offended that staff would question my or her motives (this particular buyer had been a long time customer from eBay and very loyal), and I was infuriated that Karen contacted her without my knowledge. Had she not told me, I would never had known. AND WP CALLS ITSELF A BUSINESS!! Just playing the devils advocate here, 8) but doesn't eBay do this as well when you mutually cancel a transaction? The buyer and seller both have to mutually agree before any FVF's are granted. Once again, not defending anybody, just commenting. I'm almost sure (but not 100 % positive) that eBay doesn't monitor PM's, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I know that they can do it and I'm sure that on occasion they have, because they can. I have always known that if I wanted to contact my ebay customers privately, I do it from my own email. Many of my *off site* deals are always done through private email because of prying eyes. K, back to reading now P.S. I am NOT a WP Cheerleader or eBay cheerleader, just looking for a home for my wares and it's not to be WP or eBay, but someplace else, and I will not be a cheerleader for any site that I permanently land. |

Thanks Banana girl!! I'm just finding that eCrater is so different to set up... I gave up for today and will get back to it on Tuesday after the holiday and after the drugs wear off!! JUST KIDDING!!!!! As of Tuesday, I am quitting my job since my boss has her head up her happy-land and I just want to drive a spike thru her head!! LOL So I'm going to be back to the online grind FULL TIME and really would like to be vested in more than just eBay. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and gave your opinions on eCrater! I love my little people!!! [/quote] I think I worked for that lady, at least once in my career. :blinkie: There are not enough drugs in the world to be able to work for someone who is a major asshole. |

Platzki,
Quote:since my boss has her head up her happy-land and I just want to drive a spike thru her head!! I think your boss and my supervisor are related. He is out in never never land most of the time and drives us all nuts. I've been tempted to push him into the trash compactor or hit him over the head with a hammer on more than one occasion. I felt like that today, and I only had to work with him for 30 minutes

Platzki, Misery loves company
I wish I could quit my job and be my own boss. But since I'm a single mom with a teenage daughter and a son in college, I need a steady income. Plus I have a feeling my supervisor will be gone before too long and the next person in line for his job is a great guy. Good luck with going full time with the online selling grind. My sister sells full time online and I know how hectic it can be for her. But she loves not having a boss looking over her shoulder all the time.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:Just playing the devils advocate here, but doesn't eBay do this as well when you mutually cancel a transaction? The buyer and seller both have to mutually agree before any FVF's are granted. Not even close. WE DID MUTUALLY AGREE ALREADY via email. I THEN I had to physically request reimbursement of the final value fee from Karen, unlike eBay where you request a FVF as a process. Karen intercepted my email correspondence with the buyer and THEN contacted MY CUSTOMER about it. In over 8 years of transacting on eBay and having mutual cancellations of transactions dozens of times NOT ONCE has eBay taken it upon themselves to PHYSICALLY CONTACT MY BUYER and have the buyer give an account of the history of the transaction, reason for cancelling, etc. The eBay process simply triggers the program to send a standard "mutual agreement" email to the buyer. FVF is automatically given to the seller unless the seller emails back disagreeing with the cancellation of transaction. Aparently after I brought this to the boards, Princess inquired about email "spying" and Karen claimed that it wasn't even possible. THIS IS A LIE, as Regic has stated. Not only is it possible, it is DONE. And WP claims it has the right -- read the terms. This has happened to others as well. Other Poppers claim they have had emails magically pulled from their boxes. By the way, it took over a month, several board posts and I forgot how many emails to get my 25 cents credited to my account. There's not even a proceedure for how to get the FVF fee back on a mutually agreed transaction cancellation ANYWHERE on the site. My guess is that many sellers don't want to ask about it and just let WP keep the money. Boinktard SB said I should forget about it and let WP keep the fee. NO WAY! |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I am one that has had several emails pulled from my wagglepoop box. The first time I thought I had hit the wrong button by mistake , we had exchanged a few PM so I did not think it was possible ,but did not think of spying..Both the PM sent and recieved were missing. Then I rem I had read that he was pulling his account , then I though ok that is it.. he is no longer a member so that must be it...Well then I had someone else email me again about this group thread. That went missing as well, I got smart tho the second time and gave them my off wagglepop address before that was pulled and that is how we talked. So I know of at least 2 different peoples emails that went missing. Just glad I am done with them.... and not going back.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
yyna and Alskling... I stand before thee... corrected.
I actually had no idea that WP was censoring the messages going through their system. Makes for more food for thought, but I don't use their email system or any others if I can help it. But as an aside.. I was hit by a scammer on WP and I emailed *Karen* and within moments I had my FVF credited to my account, so I have never had a problem with that end of it. But, rest assured, that as soon as any sold transaction goes through on WP, Ebay or any other site that I might be on, I grab the email address of my buyer and this is how I communicate with them from that time on (through my private email). I never use the *system* to communicate with my buyers or sellers for anything! My messages to a seller are always simple and when they answer, I use that email to respond and ask any further questions. Same goes for a buyer. If a buyer asks me a question, I use their private email only. I hope to have all of my stuff transferred from WP within a few days and then I can go into more details. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I had an account shut down because of a PM sent to a seller. It was asking about purchasing an item (yes, on WP) and I guess too many questions were asked. It's okay, though, because the items needed were purchased elsewhere from a very professional seller (Alskling).
No mention was made in the PM's (to other sellers) of any other website. All questions, in my opinion, were asked in a courteous and respectful manner. Some sellers just don't want to answer questions, I guess. Their loss.
I hate stupid people!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
FineThings4U I answer ALL buyers questions, but not through the systems messaging process. I answer all questions by my own private email. Well... uh.. except the ones where they want it for half price, or want it sent through customs as *gift* or other questions of that type. They usually get answered, but not any lengthy email.. Just a one word answer through my PRIVATE email saying.. uhhhh NO!
You think this seller turned you in for asking to many questions? It makes my head spin that you would be kicked for asking too many questions. I'm glad that I will be away from there soon. |
