Some of the overly defensive responses regarding Wagglepop (both then and now) have always reminded me of emotional lovers/ex-lovers. Many of the Poppers then (and now) have been so vehement and hateful about eBay, one would think they had just broken up with an awful ex-spouse that they still have feelings for (but the hatred outweighs the love). Wagglepop rides in as the new boyfriend/girlfriend, deserving of the tortured soul's new passion, love, and defense. The tortured "divorcee" then defends the rebound lover no matter how silly the lover may seem to others.
That's exactly it, and it's what both WP1 and WP2 have relied on to drive growth. After the January 2005 stores fee hike, and again after the July 2006 hikes, many eBay users said they felt "betrayed by [their lover] eBay". disclaimer: I've never felt betrayed by eBay because I've always regarded them the same way I regarded many dot com companies: a bunch of greedy pigs Quote:I found this funny cartoon on PSU and brought it over to share Leo ranks right up there with Ray in his ability to BS. After the WP1 implosion many of the poppers were lured in by BidChaser's Leo...and LunarBid...and a string of other BSing site owners. Since it was the first time off ebay for many of them, they spent a good part of last year learning the hard way about the small auction site world .
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
Shopping cart (I have 4 sites that use Zen). You host it on your own site (at any web host), install it yourself, etc. The cart is free and has more features than hosted carts like ShopPal.CityMax,PrestoStores (and there are free add-ons that allow you to add even more features). http://www.zencart.com/

Time to say good-night to my friends and associates on TT.
As a parting snippet of input, I'd like to share with you this 'About Me' page I found constructed by a new WP seller. http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/UserPages/TheToyShop When you read it, you'll appreciate my laughing hysterically icon.

And she isn't ashamed to promote eBay used clothing sales through her WP store.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Good morning!
Hello electica thank you for the welcome I just been over to PSU and I am a bit confused saturn is telling people about other WP current members, I don't know if s/he is talking about two ID as one person, or they are two different people..he is doing a lot of bashing of TT, This is what saturn is saying on PSU:~ (MY reply is at the bottom of this post!) QUOTE~ yes as i said a couple of negative posts on ones experience is normal.. it is not NORMAL or healthy to spend ones life like tt does on something they feel as they can't make money... they come to save poppers from WASTING their time they try to say.. BUT they prove they are wasting THEIR own time in a worse way... so never use info from tt,,, they have either an agenda or just very sick. My reply:~ Mamapeapod I think people who have experienced WP just want to get their expereinces out about WP ~ negative or positive to other people on PSU and TT. Your experience is a positive one and other people here were on WP1 and have very bad experiences. Most people have a high enough IQ to take a balanced view on any post on this site or any other site. Meaning they will have the ability to make a balanced view on Wagglepop.
Smile ~ Be Happy
