Just a comment on ecrater, because it has a store format, w/ no auctions and a shopping cart, what sells there isn't really an issue. In other words if you have a product consumers want they will find your items through froogle, and other shopping directories you submit the site to. There is a wide variety of items for sale. You could do a search for similar items to what you sell just to see how many are available, but keep in mind most of your buyers won't find your items through the ecrater search. Most I believe come from other referral sources. I also wanted to post an interesting thread from PSU regarding the new fee hike at Ebay, it has some interesting information. http://www.powersellersunite.com/post-89632.html#89632 To Sweet Girl: You already know I am your biggest fan, and there isn't a mean, bad bone in your entire body. Quote:A wise philosopher once said: Thank you for these sage words, Then, YOU, my friend, are a gentleman and a scholar, and I absolutely, positively couldn't agree more (especially the Santa Claus and Jesus part). HEY, LURKERS, CLICK ON THE LINKS "THEN" GAVE and GET A GOOD DOSE OF EDUCATION, if you dare. At times it gets SO DAMN FRUSTRATING and even heart-breaking, to just sit and watch baby seals get clubbed to death after being drugged and delt unconscious. ARGH!!!!!!!!! Sweet, WE LOVE YOU! I will be always in your debt for digging up the rude, nasty posts from our friend SB (his initials should be reversed, in my opinion) to substantiate how he clubbed this little seal when I was at WP. Back to struggling with e-Crater. |

Thanks, Alskling! :-[
Quote:SB (his initials should be reversed, in my opinion) Is he still on WP? BTW, if anyone needs help with eCrater, quite a few people here have eCrater stores. Just ask (maybe in the ecommerce stores area: http://community.tuliptools.com/index.ph...,84.0.html So the posts don't get lost in all the WP stuff).

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Okay, once and for all, I wish to explain something to the WP lurkers so that they can take it on over to PSU.
I have had more that one ID on WP. The first ID was my store ID which was gone when I closed my store. The second was a buying ID set up so that a friend could buy his wife an outfit. He asked questions and poof, that account was closed. The third was another buying ID. A post was made that offended some poppers and bam, gone it was (should have left the emotion at the door). The ID I use now is a buying ID. I don't post. There are some truly awesome sellers on WP whose items cannot be found anywhere else. Do I use a proxy server? Never Do I use false information to register? No way Do I have feedback as a buyer? As a matter of fact, yes I do. Do I click AdSense ads? Not a chance. I'm not putting any more of a seller's money in Ray's pockets than I have to. I choose my friends very carefully, as do I the people with whom I do business. I have made mistakes, but if you haven't, step right up on the perfect pedestal. Get your facts straight before you post elsewhere. If you need clarification or explanation of what is meant in a post, ask here. I don't hide behind a sock puppet, so you all know who I am.
I hate stupid people!

Hey LURKERS!
I have an idea! Why not give all your listings to Angel and Gael over at WP, since they seem to be just about the only ones getting any action and it's obvious they have the time for your stuff since they spend half their day bragging about their glorious accomplishments on boards all over town. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Based on the continuing and ongoing misinterpretation of this specific thread, I would like to share my own observations, and opinions to those individuals who lurk here. After reading the happenings on PSU it became obvious that bratpack, rosebud, and angelsong(powerseller) discussed Tulip Tools as though it was a stand alone website whose sole intention is to disrupt, malign, and otherwise engage in militia tactics against WP.
Tulip Tools is an ecommerce business, with literally hundreds of threads covering many many topics. TT has members from all over the world, and I have never seen a registered user from Japan view or post on this thread. This is a very long thread, and if you read the name of the thead it pretty much lets you know what the topic is. Now bratpack when you came asking for business ideas, did you take the time and explore the site? There are multiple threads on everything from Ebay to hosted shopping carts for your website. Please lurkers if you read this thread do not imply or otherwise slander the Tulip Tools Community. Those of us who post on this thread are a mere minority of the total members who are on this site, and many members are businesses who are paying customers. We are all thankful to the Tulip Tools Administration, and their staff for allowing us a place to discuss, vent, and yes play. Now I also want to address what many are seeing or misunderstanding as vicious, mean behavior. Humor is one of humankinds most important reliever of stress. What appears to be personal attacks against individual members is neither the intent or goal. In fact the majority of the parody, spoof, and silliness has always been directed at Ray or the site itself. The comparison to a cult again is not directed at the sellers, but has been said and used as an example of the way the site itself is being controlled, and again directed at the owner. Many of these individuals on this thread still buy on WP, have friends that still sell there, and were once avid supporters. Why would any of us have any intention or malice to ever hurt any of you. We wouldn't do that. Putting the WP site, and its owner under a critical eye is not any different than when consumer reports, or watchdog agencies investigate and report their findings. These types of agencies exist to protect a consumer, and assist in cutting through the hype/marketing and even BS that companies rely on to market their wares. WP is a commodity, in that sellers pay fees to conduct business. Any owner of a business has to have a thick skin to be successful because there will be criticism, negativity, and yes many many questions that the owner must be prepared to answer. Ray has a proven history of being unable to handle any perceived criticism. Please do not lump the posters on this thread with the entire TT community. If you have issues with any of us you can send a PM, or openly post. |
