Re: I got a letter from Meg Whitman (snicker)
Let's not forget that back when the internet was per-minute, many people stayed away because they weren't certain that the benefits outweighed the per-minute charge.
When AOL and others first popularized the idea of unlimited internet, it sucked in, I would venture to say, the majority of internet users.

In China, they're still paying *per minute*. And hating every second of it. Read that somewhere some time ago.

Re: I got a letter from Meg Whitman (snicker)
Well I go postal on the telco, cable companies and politicians if they do this.
Sabotaging line networks any time I can and running over legislatures with my truck when ever I see them crossing a street. OK I'll just do like thentavius says and get off the net altogether and get on food stamps and let the government take care of my sorry asp.

Re: I got a letter from Meg Whitman (snicker)
Quote:get off the net altogether and get on food stamps I might do the same thing ;D because small online businesses are the ones who would suffer the most because they'll be stuck in the slow lane. Companies like Ebay will be able to pay to be in the fast lane and their customers will likely pay the costs as Ebay and others increase fees/prices to help defray the higher access costs. ...of course in the long run eBay would also pay a price because there would be fewer smaller businesses around for it to steal patented ideas from. :twistedevil:
