uBid Drops Application Fee For New Sellers
uBid has dropped the $99 application fee they formerly charged new sellers who apply to their Certified Merchant program...not sure exactly when it was dropped, but it was within the last few months. uBid has 3700+ sellers. If you're a business and sell items that would fit in any of the uBid categories, I would stroooooooooooooooooonglllllllllllllly recommend applying because the site has a much higher sell through rate than eBay. No listing fees, but uBid does charge a sliding FVF on successful sales ranging from 2.5% to 12%. To become a Certified Merchant: uBid sellers must be an established
business, have trade references and provide a FEIN or Social Security number. more info, signup here: http://www.ubid.com/promo/ucm/
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |
