If you’re a shopping site selling holiday merchandise and you haven’t at least put a little frost on your logo, you might want to just close up shop and come back after the spring thaw.

You can deck your home page with any number of seasonal spins. Nobody’s done this as consistently and cleverly as Google has with its logo.

The Google example brings up a good point. Celebrating seasonal events isn’t just for the holidays anymore, as they do this throughout the year to mark all sorts of calendar milestones...
