eBay Motors UK to Announce Introduction of Classifieds Ads on 7/17

Internet auction site eBay will today unveil plans to include classified ads on eBay Motors, signalling a fresh threat to newspapers and magazines struggling to stem the flow of advertising spend to the web...

Car dealers will pay £150 a month to list up to 100 cars on the site. One major UK dealer said he paid almost 10 times that to advertise on other websites and in newspapers...

You don't have to be a dealer to get involved with Classified Ads on eBayMotors.co.uk, it's open to all eBay sellers.

The launch of Classified Ads on eBay Motors meets a surge in demand for cars on the site. A vehicle now sells every minute, a car every two minutes and a motorbike every four minutes. Over half a million vehicles and £1bn worth of vehicles, parts and accessories were bought and sold on the site in 2005, doubling figures from the previous year.
