Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
This is a pretty crummy way to read it but it's a babelfish webpage conversion of the ebay china fees page. Honestly, I think we're having to subsidize the free china listings. Ebay china looks like they get their stores free and I can't see where they would have to pay for final value fees but again.. I'm not sure. All I know is for a store it says free
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish...t?lp=zh_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fpages.ebay.com.cn%2fhelp%2fsell%2ffees.html If you click on "easy interest shop" it shows stores prices for free What do you think, are we subsidizing someone or what? |

CSS Wrote:What do you think, are we subsidizing someone or what? Definitely. Half of eBay's Asian sites are free. |

ebay.ph (phillipines) is also free, so there's another one we're subsidizing.

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
I'm with the party poopers. A one day boycott from a few isn't going to bother eBay one way or another.
It doesn't matter what eBay dishes out... people will just try to figure out a work around. ;D |

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
well, if ebay netherlands is enough cheaper, would offset the conversion fees to convert euro to dollars. problem is that it's not in english. But file exchange just might take care of that little problem. Will have to investigate further

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
Well it seems like many of you feel 1 day isn't worth it. Do you think a 3 day would or are you thinking it's not even worth it at all? I feel completely overloaded and beat up by ebay.
This is in the true spirit of an ebay auction. Do I hear 5 days? 10 days? Nope. None of it matters. Not until ya say |
A short boycott won't impact eBay financially but it could garner them a lot of bad press (always a good thing ) The thing that will impact them in the long term is if people use those 1-3 days to begin to develop plans to gradually wean themselves off of relying on eBay for the majority of their sales. |
