Great minds think alike, Mandy. Probably should be "Little Richard". Happy001

This post was emailed to me.  eBay employee "Richard" posting to eBay UK sellers on eBay's "Business Selling Forum".  Rather insulting comments to one seller by Richard.  The thread was pulled soon afterwards - perhaps because Richard told sellers to sell in multiple channels?  Smile

eBay employee Richard Wrote:  "Some Shops closures and a drop in items listed are not only to be expected but are, from our point of view, even desirable in the short-term."

"Your story is a great example of what we're trying to do: no offence, but we don't want thousands of listings for old car magazines from the same seller swamping the site. So if it's no longer economically viable for you to list them in that volume, then that's fine by us."

"The people who need Shops most are the people whose goods wouldn't sell anywhere else. And we don't want those goods on the site in the volumes they are currently at."

"This board is by far the most vitriolic about the changes. The Powerseller board is pretty sanguine about them by comparison. Perhaps there's a greater reliance on Shops among sellers who post on this board."

"We change our fees and visibility fairly regularly, so it probably makes sense not to be 100% exposed to a single channel like eBay."

http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=1100018941&tstart=0&mod=1154958840526 (board is apparently accessible by UK Business Sellers only)

I can't imagine why the Pink's post was pulled. Smile

I'm surprised that Richard still works for Ebay. I've seen his posts before and he is far too honest to be allowed to work for Ebay.  Wink
