C++ Server Pages
I thought this was pretty cool, especially for those who hate eBay.

All you have to do is build your web application / auction site in C++ so it will be fast and robust enough to handle 60 million members, and a million or so scammers. With C++ Server Pages, you can do just that (if you have a few hundred years of spare time, or a few million dollars to hire a programming team).

Well, you don't have to use commercial tools for that any more. Check out CPPSERV (http://www.total-knowledge.com/progs/cppserv) and
CXXSP (http://cxxsp.sourceforge.net) Both of which provide Java Servlet like API, and CSP implementation.

Thanks for the links. I'lll check them out, but the CSP from Micronovae is 100% free and 100% fully functional.

They may be free, in a sense you don't have to pay for them, but they are not open-source, with all the consequences.
And, as was mentioned the two projects work under Unix, while Mirconovae is Windows only.

Re: C++ Server Pages
That's a great point. The reality, I guesss, is using C++ for web apps can be a time-waster unless you have a ton of pre-existing C++ code you want to use.

[/quote]I don't see it that way at all. I was thinking "mooer" along the lines of finding someone with shared interests after TWO-YEARS of talking to the Bears!!!
