Website Templates
I am considering using a template in order to get my site up quickly. I have no idea if the templates I am looking at work with Zen. I also don't know if they are good templates.
Please help!! Template No. 1 http://allwebcodesign.com/setup/IOgallery.htm Template No. 2 http://allwebco-templates.com/templates/.../a08NC.htm Template No. 3 http://allwebco-templates.com/templates/...BX-DLX.htm Btw, the graphics, etc., can all be changed. The instructions are very clear for all templates. Please feel free to be as negative as you like---they are not free! |

Re: Website Templates
The Zen we're installing comes with 9 ugly templates. They can either be customized/changed by you or you can hire a designer to make them look nice, or you can buy premade templates. If you're buying a pre-made template it has to be made specifically for Zen version 1.3x or it won't work. www.dezinacart ($30-$60) and www.algozone ($140-$180) both sell pre-made 1.3x templates. The templates at TemplateMonster won't work with this version of Zen.

Re: Website Templates
That's what I'll do. If I should CHOOSE to accept this mission.
I'll take one of the 9 ugly templates and play with it. Change BG colors, fonts, text colors, script roll overs, things I'm sure can be done with out interfering with the Zen. This may have been asked. But I can install ZEN and place it in a folder I name and use it to play around with out it effecting the live site RIGHT? Like I could put it all in say a sub folder under www like say. mytestsite. So to get to it live for me to see what it looks like after playing it with I would need to go to www.mysite.com/www/mytestsite.php That sound right?

Re: Website Templates
I'm going with ugly, too.
Edited to add: I haven't seen the others but, actually, I don't see anything wrong with the Sophy Blue. Maybe I'm just tasteless. |
